husband for terrible tragic thing that happened tara campbell abc 7 news. pennsylvania man has pleaded guilty to threatening to kill a bay area member of congress and his staff. bay area representative eric swollwell released this statement today thanking federal agencies for keeping him and his staff safe after those threats were made. as you may remember congressman swollwell took to social media back in august saying that a death threat had been left on an office voicemail. allwell said the message also mentioned his wife and children. a justice department says joshua hall could face up to five years in prison. outgoing congresswoman jackie speier is continuing her farewell tour today and she made a stop in half moon bay. the congresswoman says her heart goes out to speaker nancy pelosi and her husband paul who were attacked in their san francisco home yesterday. speer says this violence needs to stop but the speaker has endured and the gravity of the injuries that have been leveled

it is estimated 100,000 people had gathered for the event many of the victims are in their 20s and abc news reporter christine. sloan is following this developing story. halloween festivities and seoul south korea turned deadly saturday evening an estimated 100,000 people had gathered for the country's biggest halloween celebration since the coronavirus pandemic began nearly three years ago officials say at least 146 people were killed 150 others injured, but warn the death toll could rise with a number of the injured listed in critical condition the crowd had gathered in an area filled with bars along narrow alleys off the main street. according to witnesses people became trapped and crushed as the crowd pushed into those narrow alleys american janelle story has been living in seoul since 2016. she was out celebrating a friend's birthday and captured some of the chaos on video. i just saw in front of me.

different outcome. things had been awfully quiet on the a's stadium front both in oakland and las vegas, but business sure picked up this week an mlb commissioner rob manfred spoke out saying he's not positive about oakland's progress. this was then misinterpreted by a national mlb writer who tweeted at the a's are likely going to vegas. not true. here's what manfred actually said. i do want to say this. i think the mayor in oakland has made a huge effort to try to get it done in oakland. it just doesn't look like it's gonna happen. i'm not positive about it. you're not i think the a's have proceeded prudently in terms of exploring the las vegas alternative given the lack of pace in oakland. i think they have to look for an alternative you think at the end of the day oakland is going to vegas. i didn't say that. i i think that what i said is and i stand by given the lack of patience the lack of certainty they have to be looking at las vegas, they need an alternative because they can't continue to
