he also demanded employees return to the office full-time or he says they will be let go. on top of that, for more top executives resigned yesterday including the head of trust and safety. we will have more on that in our next half-hour. new this morning, many twitter users say the option to sign up for twitter blue is no longer available. and apparently that happened to you on your account? the verge was the first to report this overnight. it twitter blue is a 799 since kherson service where you can pay for a blue check mark. signing up is only bringing an error message, many people have been some scrubbing to the service and using their counts to impersonate real accounts like news alice, celebrities, and out fleets. twitter has not commented if the change happen on purpose or if this is some outage. we will keep watching and seeing. kumasi: the country is still waiting for final results from tuesday's election. to find out what will happen with the balance of power in

congress. some of the races are still at this point today's later still some -- still too close to call. jobina: the georgia senate race, all eyes are set on nevada and arizona. overnight, new results slightly boosting democrats but the county has hundreds of thousands more ballots to process. in nevada, senator ken cortez masto is hopeful to keep her see but her opponent is upbeat. >> we are confident the numbers are there, we will win this race. >> we know this will take time and we will not have more election results for several days. jobina: on capitol hill, mitch mcconnell says he is awaiting final results. his counterpart in the house, kevin mccarthy, believes republicans are headed for a majority out of the seats needed to control house, 211 are called for republicans. president biden has not ruled out the possibility of democrats holding onto the house. reggie: thank you.

it will be several days before a winner is declared and the race for oakland mayor. the alameda county registrar voter says the next update will not happen until monday night. after nine rounds of counting, loren taylor is in the lead with more than 22,000 votes. zhang tout is second with just over 19,000. one reason there will be a longer wait is there is a lot of ballots they need to count. many came in at the last moment and the county plans on counting them over the weekend. >> the ones that were dropped off close to election day have not been counted yet. those are what we are starting to process now. reggie: lauren taylor released a statement saying he is confident but not ready to declare victory. we have not heard from his opponent. with so many races outstanding you can check on the results on our website, abc7news.com /election. kumasi: in san francisco, a story opened when the opener -- owner closed it because of

concerns. the ceo announced the closure any post where he called san francisco a "city of chaos." he cited large-scale theft at the store and the ceo apologized saying his intent was not to tear down the city but call for change. he says he met with city leaders and police has extra security. reggie: part of our work in building a better bay area is making it easier for you to get around, bar is looking to expand services by 2030. we know how land is live at the walnut creek station with more on this rollout. >> bar has come up with to new ideas to increase ridership, the first will benefit you passing through stations like this one here in walnut creek by adding more direct east bay connections every day of the week through 9:00 at night. the second idea is to expand evening service. in the corbett system by

creating more trans bay trips. a spokesman for bart tells us in order to do that they would need to add a portion of the red line from richmond to daly city which would continue past 9:00 at night and also add a portion of the green line from bay fair to daly city. this comes as bart is working to recover ridership following the pandemic. as a last month, ridership is 40% of recovered expectations. they say whether these proposed changes will happen is going to depend largely on if the public shows enough interest. >> a key part of the getting the funding is having a clear roadmap and knowing what the writers want us to do. this is an important step in the process. we talked to lawmakers. this is something they want to hear. they want to know our riders are on board with this. >> that is why bart is asking everyone to fill out their survey called barge metro 2030 and beyond. it asks people if they would

california has been on a steady decline but they have been back on the rise in time for the holidays. according to state data, cases jumped by and average of 11% since last week to about seven new infections are 100,000 residents per one day. hospitalizations are also on the rise. the sudden jumps comes as one more immune invasive variants contraction. there is positive news in the last 30 minutes, the world health organization released new data showing deaths from covid are down 90% since february. policing colorado launching an investigation into the death of jonbenet ramsey. this marks the 20th anniversary -- 26th anniversary of her death. boulder police will partner with a colorado co. review teams to look for more answers. so far the texas -- so far they have investigated more than 21,000 tips, letters, and emails and she was found dead the day after christmas in 1996.

meeting, he tells employees filing for bankruptcy is a possibility. this two weeks after he bought twitter for 44 billion dollars. abc news obtained meeting -- audio from the meeting from a lawyer representing a former twitter employee in a lawsuit against the company. >> i can tell you what works and that is people being in the office and being hard-core and [indiscernible] >> he made it clear that if you do not come back and you can, you will not have a job. >> even if people return to the office, the office are separate offices so we won't be together anyways. >> but you can maximize productivity. tesla is not at one place either but -- basically if you can show

redline from richmond to daly city which would continue past 9:00 at night and also add a portion of the greenline from bay fair to daly city. everybody has until november 23 of this year to fill out the survey. we have a link to that on our website at abc7news.com. live in walnut creek, lena holland, abc7news.com. kumasi: this morning, nicole has weakened it to a tropical depression moving into georgia and left a trail of destruction behind in florida. these effects will be felt across the country through the weekend at least. jobina: officials are warning of airport delays and cancellations up and down the east coast today as nicole brings rain to a large portion of the region. nicole made landfall in florida as a category one hurricane yesterday, the same area slammed by hurricane ian six weeks ago. beaches have been washed away and authorities say 49 beachfront buildings are unsafe. some have already been destroyed, others at risk of collapsing.
