this happened on sacramento street. witnesses heard the crash and solidly building engulfed in flames with the suv inside. authorities are trying to figure out what happened to the driver. kumasi: nearly 50,000 university of california workers planning to walk off the job. lena helen hunt is live with details about how this might impact students. >> we are live at the uc berkeley campus. this is one of 10 uc campuses where university employees plan to walk off the job over a wage dispute. that makes up a little less then 50,000 university of california academic workers from researchers to teaching assistants. this comes after contract talks failed to reach an agreement. union members say wages are a

key part of the dispute, as some university employees make less than any $4000 a year. this strike could shutdown some classes and labs ahead of final exams. >> i do expect that the strike is going to disrupt university activities. that is part of a deep goal. >> university officials say uc continues to negotiate with the union, continuing to find solutions. berkeley officials say they are preparing for a strike but expect few disruptions. bake said the campus anticipates that classes will remain as agile. offices will be open and the campus will provide normal or equivalent services. a union rally is happening this morning at 11:30 as paul plaza on the uc berkeley campus. reggie: thank you.

democrats are celebrating a win in the midterm elections. they will retain control of the senate. control of the house is still too close to call. some republicans claiming trump. jobina: some stress still undecided. publicans need just seven winds -- republicans need just seven wins but democrats are optimistic. turmoil in the party as trump it is expected to announce a run for reelection tomorrow. some blame him for the party's performance in the new terms. >> it is the third election in a row that donald trump has cost us the race. three strikes and you are out. jobina: that was larry hogan, who is a republican. indeed former president endorsed -- the former president endorsed

westchester county, new york on thursday. staff members say the driver was an elderly woman who accidentally hit drive instead of reverse. nobody was sitting at those tables by the wall and nobody got hurt. "the now investigate -- oakland police now investigating the 110th homicide of the year. someone shot and killed a woman last night on 40th street near telegraph avenue. paramedics were unable to save her. her identity has not been released, but last year, there were 100 19 homicides in opening. there has been a deadly shooting in the university of virginia and police say a student is the gunman. it happened last night. three killed, two others hurt. the suspect took off in a black suv and is considered armed and
