5:02 am
can expect. ryan: good morning, quite a bit of back-and-forth. we know that there is very opposite views on what kind of sentence that she should be receiving. of course the prosecuting side wants her to get as much as possible. she faces up to 20 years so she wants to be as close to that as she can. her legal team wants much less. court filings show that she is asking for 18 months in prison. while the prosecutors that we already talked about say they want around 15 years, close to that 20 year threshold. those are different requests from both sides. prosecutors say she deserves a late -- a lengthy sentence because she duped investigators by falsely claiming that her company developed revolutionary blood testing. her defense team says that she has already paid the price for those crimes and she continues to pay that price every single day.
5:03 am
she also has a lot of support. her lawyers gave the judge 130 letters including one from cory booker who said that they became friends when they met at a party. legal experts say that they are expecting her to get a sentence in between what both parties are asking for. >> i think the court is going to be looking at somewhere on the low end of two to three years, and on the high-end, somewhere between seven to nine years, under 10. that would be my guess. ryan: many of the letters sent to the judge tried to go over who she is as a person in hopes that the judge is lenient with the sentence, trying to appear about who she has and what she stands for. there is one major thing the judge will have to consider when imposing a sentence, the fact that she is pregnant according to court documents. that is something we will wait to see what kind of factor that
