describing the terror i heard like a like a pop pop pop. michael anderson was bartending saturday night when police say a 22 year old man opened fire during a drag show, killing five people and injuring 25. anderson says he ducked behind the bar when bullets started flying something in my head said get down, you know, just get down right now. so i did. and then then glass started just shattering all around me by bottles breaking just above. i'm on the ground and above me, there's just glass flying everywhere. investigators say the suspect was armed with an assault rifle and carried multiple rounds of ammunition. the club's owners tell the new york times their surveillance video shows the suspect wearing a military style flak jacket and entering the club with quote tremendous firepower, according to police, heroic patrons prevented dozens more people from being shot. after one person grabbed the suspect's gun, striking him with it. inside the club, confronted and fought with the suspect, and we're able to stop stop the suspect from continuing to kill

now we're learning more about the 911 call made from that home. one of the biggest mysteries surrounding the murder of four university of idaho students, is how the surviving roommates apparently did not hear the violent attack. we know that people want answers. we want answers to, according to police, the four students were stabbed multiple times likely while sleeping, and investigators say the killer used a rambo style knife. the coroner says defense wounds show some of the victims may have fought back, but they're two roommates, according to police say they heard nothing and woke up the next morning. to find that scene. that's to my knowledge of the investigation that is accurate that they got home in the evening. then going to sleep. and then when they woke up, that's when that's when they they noticed that something they believe something was wrong. police say the surviving roommates were out of town separately and return to the home around one a.m. last sunday before the four victims arrived

back from a night out, investigators say when the two roommates woke up shortly before noon, the next day, they called friends to the house, believing one of the victims on the second floor had passed out and was not waking up. after the friends arrived, someone from the group used one of the roommates. phones to call 911. police are not revealing who made that call ? we haven't identified anyone, really by name. aside from the victims, they deserve some privacy. one victim's sister says she found at least six calls made to the victim's boyfriend in the early morning, hours shortly before she died, but the family says they strongly believe the boyfriend is not involved in the murders. investigators say they have fielded 700 tips. they have ruled out a number of people, including everyone inside the home at the time of that 911 call, but so far they have not revealed a suspect or found the murder weapon time now for a look at your monday weather. good morning. we are looking at
