like every day but to hear sun i used to say hello to to find out he passed away is scary. i have young children. . police received a 911 call on saturday and when they arrived they found the man on the ground who was shot in the head. police believe it is a likely a botched robbery. >> there's veins video that captured two male suspects wearing dark clothing. they have not been apprehended. >> i see him a couple times.hi. when i hthis. reporter: he said this is a rough part of ton especially late at night. the area needs more police presence he says. >> people come in the night to

buy drugs and everything there. >> you think there should be more police presence. >> yes. >> i get scared in this part of the nabbed. i'm shocked somebody was killed but i'm not too surprised. reporter: tracy thinks crime is on the rise and more police patrols at night would help residents feel safer. >> i get scared and angry that this is happening and nothing is being done. it gets worse. liz: nearly 180,000 in merchandise was stolen from a camera shop near union square. four individuals were near bush and grant and these images show at least one suspect with a firearm entering the store. one person is holding a tool. it shows they returned to the

sedan less than three minutes later. just three days ago it was assured of additional safety measures. multiple sources say that $20,000 in damage were caused by the robbery. anyone with initial information is asked to come forward. a muni driver is attacked. we told you about there yesterday. san francisco police say the suspect worlded at courtland and mission and attacked the driver and got behind the wheel and took off hitting at least 10 vehicles before stopping. police arrested the suspect who is said to have minor injuries. the bus was empty. small pwbusiness saturday busins owners remind you to do holiday shopping away from malls and big retailers. we see how one city in the north

liz: here is a live look over the lit up san francisco skyline. the war in ukraine is intense fighting taking out parts of the power grid leaving millions in the dark. there are worries with winter around the corner. reporter: a search at a ukrainian maternity ward a newborn kill with another russian missile strike one after the strikes striking homes and power grid. these satellite images show it turning dark the past eight months of war. mark says they get a few hours of electric each day.

1978, the wild trial and twinkie defense. download the app to watch it. san jose leaders are using this travel weekend as indicator of how the economy is rebounding from the pandemic. they estimate $438,000 will pass through san jose airport up about 40% from last thanksgiving. while that increase is good aviation still hasn't fully returned to pre-pandemic levels. this year the count is still down nearly 21%. san jose leaders are considering a plan to turn two locations into housing. it is scheduled to discuss the plans on tuesday. they are looking into converting the cerone light rail yard and coddle station. they would be temporary quick build to provide homeless people

freezing and two mile visibility and fog for santa rosa. freezing in nevada. it is colder out there from two degrees to nine degrees colder from the coast and over into concord about five degrees colder. our forecast partly cloudy with high clouds and temperatures slowly coming down. we will see low to mid 60's today and as the cold front works through tomorrow it brings us cold and frosty mornings tuesday and wednesday. just a few neighborhoods up into the 60's, more likely widespread 50's the middle of the week and rain arrives thursday to friday. it will be a level within system and breezy winds taking us in friday and still a little too far out to fine tune the details is we have a general outlook of

how it will play out as the rain is offshore thursday, southwesterly winds allowing for a good bit of moisture thursday to friday. even southern california looking like they will get a lot of rain but the amounts not able to say until we get high resolution but snow could accumulate and into saturday a break before another system will bring us more rain. that one is way too far out. but as we add the totals into december 3 we are looking at over an inch in the city, valley and southern california where we are all parched and need it. totals from 2 1/2 feet around kirkwood to over a foot at incline. hopefully we get a continuation of wet weather in next weekend

freezing nevada, 34 by the delta. 36 livermore. it is a colder start. we are looking at a cooler afternoon. the fog sets up along the cost so by 11:00 we will be in the 50's and partly cloudy and fog at the coast, high clouds bringing in more low to mid 60's. a few upper 60's with sunshine a little longer perhaps north bay and into the evening we have or sights set on a cold front that will bring much colder air the first half of the work welcome then rain the second half. liz: an update on the mass shooting at a virginia walmart. investigators cleared the scene and returned control to walmart and the city council is sit to have a special meeting for recovery efforts. we have more on what that meeting will entail.

reporter: as authorities investigate last week's deadly walmart shooting the f.b.i. and chesapeake police departments have finished their crime scene investigation. the city said the store will be handed back to walmart. walmart says it plans to work costly with its associates to determine the best time to reopen. authorities claim the sooner who allegedly shot and killed six co-workers left a message on his phone titled death note in which he complained about his colleagues and referred to murder. witnesses say andre appeared to be targeting specific employees. >> he knew when we were in the break room. >> monday the chesapeake city council will hold a special meeting to confirm the emergency declaration which free up funding to support the recovery effort. a candlelight vigil will be held to honor the victims. thursday president biden reiterated his call for an

assault wins ban. >> the idea we still allow semiautomatic weapons to be purchased is sick. it has no, no social redeeming value. >> but investigators say the gunman used a nine millimeter pistol he legally purchased hours before the massacre. police add they recovered the box and receipt along with ammunition in his home. liz: new york police rescued a man on the subway tracks moments before the train entered. you see the train approaching. the officials were doing a platform inspection when packages from the opposite side that he had fallen. officers ran upstairs to get to the other side and bystanders tried to help. he got medical treatment from a third officer as they waited for emergency officials.
