7:17 am
>> that's an excellent question, eva. for the moment americans are putting some of those concerns about inflation aside, they are spending record amounts as we've been reporting, but experts do warn about putting too much on credit cards as rates go higher and also overextending consumers by using a lot of these buy now, pay later programs, they're up 78% just in usage alone last week. eva. >> good warning for people as they prepare for the holidays. thank you, deirdre. >> up 78%. in the meantime we'll get a check of the weather now, danielle breezy from our nashville affiliate wkrn, good morning again, danielle. >> reporter: and good morning, guys. we are tracking that storm system out to the west bringing a lot of wintry weather. we have seven states under winter alerts. we have winter storm warnings, winter advisories, not to mention high wind alerts. that's a lot of snow.
