opioid overdose reversal drug. the san francisco police department confirmed they are investigating the cause of the emergency, the fire department said they could not confirm the claim of the baby ingesting fentanyl. they added we responded to the park for a pediatric patient and cardiac arrest, san francisco fire and paramedics arrived on scene into minutes. provided life-saving measures and revived the patient. san francisco supervisor represents the marina district. what is your office going to do? >> what i have been doing is making sure that we are not just engaging in harm reduction but making sure people have paths to recovery. >> the supervisor said the san francisco recreation and parks department will close the park after hours and police patrol will increase but for some parents, this incident may be there tipping point. >> it is horrible. it makes me consider staying in san francisco or if we should move.

the bay area is expected to face plenty of wet and windy weather that pg&e says could cause issues. >> for moderately severe weather events like this, our own in-house meteorology department calibrates storm size against customer outages -- is predicting in the neighborhood of 40,000 customers affected across the greater bay area. >> pg&e says a large portion of customers are expected to come from the peninsula as it is forecasted to get the brunt of the storm. in san mateo they are stockpiling essentials like power poles, transformers and even employees to get the lights back on quickly it should there be issues. >> we are bringing crews from all over the system, staged and ready to come here and support. >> meanwhile in contra costa, prep work by the county's public works department is more preventative. sky 7 high above san pablo dam road as crews clear potential is -- potentially hazardous areas.

the board, the dow climbed 737 points, nasdaq gained 384 and s&p 500 had a solid day. with 122 point boost. >> layoffs continue to hit bay area workers, san francisco-based doordash and crack and announced job cuts today. doordash told -- the company will be eliminating 1200 jobs as it seeks to lower its operating costs. one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges crack and announced it will be laying off 1100 workers according to the san francisco chronicle. this latest round of layoffs following a report from the bureau of labor statistics indicating the number of job openings fell last month. >> some bay area commutes could get more expensive as transportation officials explore ways to alleviate traffic congestion, and one idea being considered is adding more toll roads. abc 7 news reporter is live at the bay bridge toll plaza -- >>

it's not the most popular idea, but we have all been stuck in bad traffic in the bay area because of an accident or rush-hour traffic. transportation authorities are hoping to change that. in the future if you drive certain freeways or highways you could be spending a little extra. traffic, congestion, gridlock. >> it so crazy all the time. >> it something that most of us dread. >> it gets pretty bad coming from the peninsula. >> some say it's just getting worse. >> it's hard at the end of a long day to add a half hour or 45 minutes maybe an hour. >> bay area transportation official -- officials are looking at the possibility of charging drivers per mile on some congested freeway core doors. >> all too often transportation on the freeways is not fast and it is not reliable so given that we are not going to build any more freeways, the capacity we have is what we are going to have it for the next generation.
