along the bayshore and up into the east bay. a few spotty, light showers around walnut creek. not much yet, but there's mist and drizzle. we will get into rain increasing throughout the day. 46 hayward, 41 santa rosa. anywhere from a few degrees to 15 degrees milder. there's a rainy golden gate bridge. showers increasing throughout the day. looking at a sloppy and cold day with temperatures only in the 40's to in your 50. it will get into scattered showers by 4:00, a level one system on our impact scale. a break tonight but then we tap into the storm north and west of us. we will plot that out for you and talk seven days coming up. >> thank you. news out of pleasant hill, where at least one person was shot last night outside of pizza restaurant. there's a heavy police presence at the scene. we are told it happened at pizza my way.

according to law enforcement, the shooting happened around 8:15 inside the restaurant between an employee and someone the employee knows. the dispute spilled out of the restaurant and the suspect shot the employee three times. the employee was sent to the hospital. this condition is unknown. the suspect was arrested on scene and taken to the hospital for an unrelated medical issue. police are investigating. in oakland, news. the california highway patrol is investigating a deadly crash last night on southbound interstate 880. officials blocked off three lanes north of broadway. a semitruck and a crown victoria were reportedly found engulfed in flames after the crash. php said one of the vehicles was involved in a hit and run. this is still under investigation with no word yet on how many people were injured. on the peninsula, we are

learning more about the bus crash in daly city yesterday afternoon. four people were hurt, one of them critically, after a bus driver lost control and plowed through a parking lot. more than a dozen cars were damaged, some of them totaled. a reporter reports from daly city. >> there just was chaos. it was complete chaos. >> 16 vehicles hit by a sam trans bus driver in the middle of the day friday, sending four people to the hospital, one critically injured. this happened at ceremony shopping center in daly city. we captured the path of destruction. the cause is still under investigation. >> it definitely raises a lot of concerns, especially this day and age. you never know with people hijacking public transportation. >> gina gutierrez and her mother arrived only minutes after the

bus driver tore through bushes, ripped through the lot, and came to a stop near target. one of the 16 damaged vehicles belonged to lisa, a resident. >> i was shopping and came out and found my car totaled. maybe four or five rows overcome i left it parked. >> they confirmed there were multiple passengers on the bus, the agency telling abc7 news it is working with authorities and looking into the cause of this incident. >> there is video of the driver. there is video outside. so you cannot jump to any conclusions. >> at least two people remain hospitalized friday night, adding their injuries appeared to be non-life-threatening. also in the aftermath of the crash, this. >> we thought it was a regular accident but then we looked and i said, my god. we got hit. >> with the busy holiday

shopping season underway, the county supervisor says the outcome could have been worse. as the scene was cleared friday night, many are left wondering what safety improvements should be made. >> i am curious, as a policymaker, representing this district, what went wrong and how do we make sure that it never happens again? >> in daly city, i am amanda del castillo leo. >> in the north bay, the catholic diocese of santa rosa plans to declare bankruptcy ahead of sex abuse trials. the diocese of says it made the decision due to a growing number of lawsuits. a california law lifted the statute of limitations on clergy abuse for a three year window, from january 2020 to the end of this year. jury deliberations have started in the trial of disgraced producer harvey weinstein. the trial included weeks of emotional testimony from

multiple women, including our state's first partner, jennifer newsom. weinstein was convicted on similar charges in new york in 2020. he served two years of his 23 year sentence. in the east bay, contra costa county prosecutors are explaining why the armed gunmen in a deadly robbery and homicide will not face murder charges. the store clerk was killed during the incident. the das office says footage shows the clerk, james williams, chased after the suspects and williams fired first. they say that turn of events takes murder charges off the table. >> when the imminent threat of harm to one's life has dissipated, the victim of a property crime, under the law, cannot then use deadly force to attempt to reclaim that property. >> gunfire from the clerk hit one of the suspects, 19-year-old

taking the plunge in an effort to save a beloved san francisco. the municipal pier has been closed since october due to structural safety concerns but it's unclear if it will ever be open again. for years, activists have been trying to raise funds for its renovation. at 11:00, they will be plunging into the waters for a save the pier rally to demonstrate their commitment to rebuilding the structure. a holiday tradition returns to the bay area this weekend. caltrans holiday train is ready to spread joy to families. decked out in more than 75,000 lights, from today until sunday night. it starts in san francisco and makes stops at four stations into the south bay. the salvation army band will be among the performers and you can also see santa. if you are heading to the holiday train, you are asked to bring a new toy to donate. >> this is an opportunity for people to support us and help

to the east bay, it's been spotty. light rain from concord and 680 towards hercules and vallejo and martinez. through marine county, mist and drizzle. the same in san francisco. light, on and off misty showers. as we look at mount tam, it is coming down. 40 four san francisco, upper 40's half moon bay. by the delta, chilly, upper 30's. this is a dark looking shark tank. 31 santa rosa, 42 livermore. the fog has been more pervasive in the east bay. oakland, concord, hayward just over a mile. mountain view is getting into it, and along the coast, so be careful. the cloud deck is low. as we look toward the golden, light rain. it is going to be a soggy saturday. more scattered showers sunday and it lingers into monday.

there are the systems. this is what we get in tonight. for the next few hours, you can see the east bay and south bay, 11:30, looking at rain. the north not getting a lot. by later in the evening, a break. more showers through the overnight. you'll notice, as we get into your sunday, 10:00, there's a line in the north bay. stopping at the end of that wind, the 49ers game, some sun, chilly, in the 60's. the showers more widely scattered into sunday. monday, we still have rain. it is a mix of sun, clouds, may an isolated thunderstorm with that instability. you can see below so -- you can see the low snow levels. three-day totals into monday night, .75 inches in san mateo. we are looking about perhaps an inch along the bayshore.

even into the east bay, more impressive totals. san francisco, maybe three quarters of an inch. as we look at the winter storm warning into the sierra nevada, this will be a high snow level to get started. then it will lower. we are getting cement to start out and colder air moves in behind it. carrying totals from less than a foot to over three feet above 7000 feet. highs today underneath the rainy conditions, our level one system only from the upper 40's to the low 50's. it is a chilly one. as we get into your sunday outlook, i'm not a dolphins fan, ever, but i know there's a lot of dolphin fans around here. anyway, niners, sunny day, and a couple dry days midweek. looks like another weak system thursday and friday. we will be tracking it for you. it will change between now and then. >> we love when we get the rain but also when it does not interfere with important things. thanks.

the most recent jobs report better-than-expected. it showed an increase in the number of jobs despite layoffs, including in the tech sector. the report also showed an increase in average hourly earnings. >> even though we have seen wages skyrocket upward in our data, people are not feeling that on the street. they are not feeling that when they go to the grocery store. it is like a wage increase with no reward. >> is bad news for investors because higher wages add to higher inflation. it brings back fears the fed might feel pressure to raise interest rates. after three years of negotiations, delta pilots reached a tentative deal friday for better pay. the agreement must be approved by union leadership. the new deal will include a new 18% increase in pay, rising incrementally over the next four years. the deal is expected to set minimum standards for contract

scattered, light rain. early morning tomorrow, some sun and downpours at times. otherwise, the sun wins out for the south bay for the game, but 5:30, 6:00, there is rain and it holds together. that's a look at the next three days. as we add up those totals, anywhere from half an inch or better, gusty winds and an upslope, but you can see varying amounts from over half an inch in redwood city to over an inch in concord, so wherever this sets up, it could get that she could get downpours in the east bay. the high snow levels to start out -- this winter storm warning lasting until monday. we are looking at a snow level about 7000 feet. the ski country will pick up one
