>> night a school community is in shock after a youth counselor was arrested after assaulting a student on campus. there may be other victims. good evening, i'm on a gaetz. >> i'm dan. the school has already taken action to ensure safety in the wake of the rest. >> investigators are crediting the victims mother for alerting the police about the sexual assaults. reporter: there is a certain level of trust on a school's campus that the children will be safe and protected, but sadly that trust was broken when a student was sexually assaulted on campus. the news of the superintendent.

>> heart was out to the potential victims. reporter: at least one minor was involved in inappropriate sexual contact with silvio. he worked at a counselor for new hope for youth that operated at a school. the organization specializes in youth outreach and enter mention and hung up on us only called for comment. he was arrested after at least 25 incidents in the span from january to october of this year. >> the sexual assaults occurred in a classroom at harvard school as well as an suspects vehicle. the victim is no longer a student at the school. she has moved on to high school. he would pick her up at her current high school in his vehicle where other acts occurred. these are not the only sexual assaults of minors on the campus this year. last year, they arrested music teacher israel santiago at the dual language academy. reporter: what needs to be done to philly to prevent the sum happening in the future? >> we have done our own analysis

of our processes of what is that we are doing internally to make sure that all of our staff is very clear about how we deal with this kind of thing. reporter: the district tells us have also cut ties with new hope for youth. the mother of the female student alerted police to the sexual assault and the urge other parents do the same. >> we want to make sure that very strong family communication exists so that children are able to come forward to parents and that parents know what their children are up to and other adults in the lives of other children are up to. reporter: police are asking other victims of these assaults to come forward and reach out to the department. >> details in the attack against a manager at antioch habit burger grill last month. the manager lost and i in the attack. police arrested isaac white carter this morning.

the 19-year-old man -- manager stood up against the man for bullying a teenager with special needs before the attack. antioch police said they called on u.s.e spect. >> it sends a message to our detectives are going to work tirelessly until we saw these cases. this is something that is very serious. we never want people to come to our community and feel like they are in danger. >> he is facing felony charges for mayhem and assault called -- causing great bodily injury. >> san francisco board of supervisors will hold a final vote tomorrow on whether to allow city police to deploy robots in situations requiring deadly force. activists were out today trying to get supervisors to vote against plan. san francisco supervisor voted in favor of the killer robots and hero in a tweet today that he has decided to vote against the plan. please have said they use robots in deadly force situations only

to make decisions for themselves and who are spirally towards death, it is not progressive. it is not humane to just allow people to deteriorate and die on our streets when we can help them. reporter: people like this woman seen here on a ring camera grabbing and tossing a food delivery bag and pounding on a residential door. san francisco already has a forced treatment program ordered by the courts, but it falls short of what new york is trying to do. >> but to get that treatment, the person has to be taken first to an emergency crisis unit at least eight times in a year. in other words, a repeat offender. reporter: last march, governor newsom merged a program called care court intended to provide those individuals with the services they need. but for some, forcing people into treatment is a violation of their human rights. what set them aside for a moment, advocates for the homeless will tell you that san

that's get to abc7 meteorologist for the latest. sandhya: we will have to hold onto the umbrellas because as you look at doppler seven, we see some more showers developing. first, let's get you into street-level radar where it is raining right now right around american canyon. you will notice as we look towards the highway 12, some showers on napa valley road. as we pan around the region, you will notice some lightning strikes about 75 miles away. don't be surprised if you run into a downpour, and maybe even some hail. right now at mount hamilton, we are seeing some showers on our storm impact scale. it is a light level one storm bringing some snow to the mountains. this system is not completely done with us yet. as we check out what is ahead, we will notice that the showers are going to come in waves. we will call it occasional showers, intensifying later tonight and into tomorrow morning. certainly had the possibility of thunderstorms here in the bay area peered i will be back with a closer look as to when we will

anchor: four weeks we have been reporting about the triple threat of rsv, the flu, and covid. now it is here. new data from the cdc suggests that california is a hot zone for flu cases as covid rates are simultaneously on the rise. abc7news reporter leslie brinkley has a latest on the season of sickness. reporter: in some parts of the bay area, shelves are picked clean of common cold and flu remedies as flu cases exploding california. the cdc says a state of california is now experiencing super high levels of influenza. the state department of public health says that it is a severe flu epidemic in southern california and just a bit more moderate at the moment here in the bay area. at the same time, covid cases have jumped by 50% in the past week. levels of are as the seem to be stabilizing and not rising. >> they will all go but same
