off of i-80 after a fight with her boyfriend. she tried to cross the road and was hit by multiple cars. her family sought answers and according to court documents, her distraught father confronted the father of her boyfriend in his new work driveway when he was sitting in his car. the district attorney says he asked where his son was, said his son killed his daughter, and shot him twice, killing him on scene before taking off. he was ultimately tracked down and arrested in san jose with a handgun on saturday and a 30 round magazine. zip ties along with the close he wore during the shooting. he was arrested, he admitted to buying the gun on the street last month for $350. lopez is expected to be arraigned in court in alameda county this morning at 9:00. we will let you know what happens.

reggie: there is a new effort to stop a growing problem across the bay area oakland has and legislation at punishing not just drivers were participating in sideshows but others too. bringing forward a proposal aimed at stopping sideshows. he is hoping the council will pass it but not everybody supports the legislation. the proposal came days after another sideshow in san francisco left many frustrated. the city councilmember says something has to be done. he is proposing a law that says -- that will crack down on not only those that participate in sideshows but those who advertise and promote them. >> if you are promoting, they

midterms is done. senator raphael warnock has run the reelection in georgia after a runoff. this means democrats have a true majority. >> this means democrats now control the senate 51-40 nine and will not need vice-president kamala harris as a tiebreaker. abc news is projecting warnock has won with over 40% -- over 50% of the vote, beating out herschel walker. this puts democrats in a much better position considering republicans took back the house. reporter: this puts democrats in a better position compared to the senate. >> this runoff election records in georgia with 1.9 million people voting early and another 1.3 million voting on election day. next up, on the oppo-taco calendar, going to be the start of congress.

reggie: the father accused of shooting a man and what -- in what alameda county is calling a revenge killing. the suspect blamed another man's son for his daughter's death. reporter: good morning. 52-year-old luis lopez who face a just stay in alameda county is accused of shooting and killing the father of the man which he believes is responsible for his 16-year-old daughter's death. to bring you up to speed on this case, 16-year-old danielle lopez was killed on a san jose i-680 entrance ramp after a fight with her boyfriend in october. investigators say she tried to cross the river but was hit by multiple -- the road but was hit by multiple cars. her distraught father drove down from vancouver, washington and confronted 40 year old ray in

his driveway when he was sitting in his car. they say he asked where his son was, said his son killed his daughter and shot him twice, killing him on scene before taking off. a nearby ring security camera captured video of the shooting. >> they ultimately tracked him down to san jose with the assistance of the san jose police department and were able to take him into custody on saturday, december 3. reporter: he was ultimately tracked down by investigators and arrested in san jose on saturday. they found a handgun and a 30 round magazine, zip ties and the uptake -- and duct tape. lopez is expected to see a judge for his arraignment in alameda county around 9:00 this morning and will let you know what happens kumasi: former theranos

twitter and cisco announce layoffs. this is starting to get very confusing. so many companies and rounds of layoffs so we have put a way to track this on our website. kumasi: tourists are flocking back to san francisco in big numbers which is a hopeful sign of epic -- of economic recovery. the city's tourism bureau said tourism spending is expected to nearly double in 2022, rising from around $3 billion in 2021 to more than $6 billion this year. officials say the rise is a hopeful sign the city is on track for a full recovery. reggie: the great highway is staying car free on the weekends until the end of 2025. according to the chronicle, the recreation and parks department will conduct a usage study on the highway before recommending a permanent plan to supervisors. this is happening after voters rejected a plan to fully reopen
