live. reporter: luis lost his daughter two months prior, a death he blames on the boyfriend of his daughter. that is the motive investigators say he used in order to kill a man out of newark on friday. to bring you up to speed, daniel lopez was killed on a san jose entrance ramp to 680 after a fight with her boyfriend. she tried to cross the road and was hit by multiple cars. her family sought answers and alameda county district attorney tells us her distraught father confronted 40-year-old ray cantu in his driveway after driving down from vancouver, washington. he asked where his son was, said his son killed his daughter, and shot him twice, killing him before taking off. the suspect was arrested in san

multiple cars. her family sought answers and according to the district attorney's office distraught father drove down from vancouver, washington and confronted ray cantu in his new york driveway when he was sitting in his car. they say he asked where his son was, said his son killed his daughter, and shot him twice before taking off. a nearby ring security camera captured video of the shooting. >> they tracked him down to the city of san jose with the assistance of the san jose police department. they were able to take him into custody saturday, december 3. reporter: they found a handgun and a 30 round magazine, zip ties, and duct tape along with the clothes lopez wore during the shooting when he was arrested. lopez is expected to appear for
