building a better bay area, this is abc 7 news. >> the rain is coming down morning. here is a live look outside, you can see the slick roads as the bear area buckles down for the rain and wind. thank you for joining us here will be talking about the weather. lisa: doppler 7 right now. we have the bulk of the activity north of us. that will bring us our stormy and windy morning. here is a look at the far north bay.

where concorde, walnut creek getting wet this morning. down through the summit int santa cruz mountains. we will be looking for the rain to increase throughout the day today with some localized flooding and a slight chance of a thunderstorm. a wind advisory until 3:00. look at the surface winds right now, up to 31 mph in oakland. upper elevations up to 40 mph. we are warmer in the low 50's right now. throughout the day, grab an umbrella because we are looking for the rainfall to move from the north to the south. liz: ahead of the arrival, people around the bay area are preparing.
