senator harris -- santa clara county says at least two unhoused people died because of our cold weather in japan town. a calving spokesperson did not say when they died but that it happened recently. there are warming centers opened throughout santa clara county and operating hours very by location. kumasi: sam bankman-fried bail in the bahamas. he was born on stanford university's campus and attended school in hillsboro. he faces up to 115 years in prison. prosecutors say he defrauded customers and investors out of billions of dollars before the company collapsed and filed for bankruptcy. they say it is one of the biggest frauds in american history, but bankman-fried painted a big that's a different picture with george stephanopoulos weeks ago. >> fight was not trying to

see that there is at least one lane block. this is a surface street, but we're highlighting this issue because this has been a problem in san jose this year deadly crashes. this is the cities 60 second deadly crash of the year and 64th victim. so we are really sad to report this this morning. and we are working to gain more information on exactly what happened here this morning, but also nearby we have another major crash just around the corner from this area, but it's actually on the freeway northbound 101 and hellyer avenue major issue here overturned box truck hidden suv. there's fuel in the roadway as well and several lanes blocked. we don't have an estimated time exactly as to when all those lanes will reopen and very quickly commuter alert from bart system-wide delay of 10 minutes due to icy conditions reggie. thank you. that leaders in oakland are wondering if it's time to mask up again giving the rise in winter covid cases. alameda county is in the cdc's medium tier for covid transmission requiring masking in alls

get the new one in the mail now if you got an email saying you're a student loan application was forgiven that may have been an error about nine million emails were sent out on november 22nd and 23rd. the department of education says a vendor send an email with an inaccurate subject line that made it seem like the application for forgiveness was approved but the body of the email was actually right it said the application was accepted. no applications have been approved and that's because the program has been put on hold by a federal judge. no further action can be taken until lawsuits over the program are resolved. a solemn anniversary in connecticut today marks 10 years since the deadly sandy hook school shooting 20 students and six educators died in that tragedy the children who died would have been 16 or 17 today? many students who survived that day have gone to push lawmakers to pass new gun control laws. the state has already passed several of them including assault weapons bands and mandatory background checks.
