to track these suspects, including finding dna on two of the shell casings from one of the suspect's relatives. investigation, the alameda county district attorney and the california highway patrol confirm the arrest of three suspects in connection to the killing of jasper wu. >> today, i'm announcing the arrest and charges being filed against trevor greene, ivory bivens, and johnny jackson. >> the da revealed that there were initially four suspects, all of them part of rival san francisco gangs. one of them was key in this investigation. >> the driver of the ultima suddenly was shot in the lower back. he has since been killed in what is believed to be more gang warfare. but lee went to the hospital that afternoon in san francisco and through the great work of the california highway patrol, they were covered the ultima

with bullet holes near the hospital. while being treated at san francisco general, lee's hands were tested for gunshot residue, which turned out to be positive. he was interviewed, he three res face multiple charges including murder and shooting at an occupied vehicle. chp categorized this case as challenging and said the wu family was their main driver for justice. >> although nothing will replace jasper, i hope you will take some solace in the fact that those responsible will have to answer for what they did and that justice will be served. >> via a translator, jasper wu's dad thanked officers in the da's office. >> i wish that no family would have to go through what they have gone through. >> we also learned more details about the timeline of this case.

according to the district attorney's office, suspects were arrested on warrants for another shooting in contra costa county back in march of this year, and leith was shot and killed last month on a separate gang-related shooting. jackson was arrested yesterday on a warrant and is expected to be arraigned tomorrow. dan: thank you very much. ama: at least five people are wanted for a takeover-style robbery at an east bay camera store. the holdup happened yesterday morning at mike's camera on regional street. police say the group entered the store and pointed guns at the employees, then smashed the display cases and grab about $80,000 worth of merchandise before running out the door to a car that was waiting for them. all the suspects are described as being in their 20's, wearing dark clothing. police do not have a description of the getaway car. we face another night of freezing temperatures.

we also have a frost advisory in effect for the same timeframe. the bay shoreline and the coast, temperatures will drop down to about 34 degrees in those locations. as you can see from our projection, it will be cold everywhere. 31 at right of freezing for a few days, and all around the bay shoreline and even up the coast, lowe's will top into the mid 30's, which is quite unusual. it rarely drops below 40 degrees here, but tonight, it will only be about 37. highs tomorrow on the make -- under mainly sunny skies. 57 in oakland, fremont, san mateo. on the south bay, a little warmer. further north, santa rosa will top out at about 60 degrees. and rainfall potential for the next 10 days, not much, but all here in the bay area, maybe a couple of hundreds of an inch, but it's not likely. jetstream is directing the rain producing system.

colleges chancellor's office. in the bay area, several schools saw a decrease in enrollment of more than 20%, including contra costa college. the school had 11,591 students in 2018 to 2019, compared to 9070 students in 2021 to 2022, a 22% decrease. the acting president at contra costa college, dr. kimberly rogers. >> while numbers are still below numbers from 2018 and 2019, we have mounted a small comeback. >> dr. rogers suspects the covid-19 pandemic along with construction on the school's new science center completed in april may have stopped some people from enrolling. santa rosa junior college saw a 27% decrease in students in 2021 to 21 to 2022 as compared to 2018 to 2019. one director believes creating affordable student housing will

increase enrollment. >> it has become increasingly unaffordable for families to live in sonoma county, and that's why we built and we are building and completing a five-story, 350 two-bed student residence hall, which is quite unique for community colleges, which typically are commuter schools. >> dr. chung says it is also a matter of investing in programs students need and want. >> a lot of students i talked to in the community want to come back to school. we just have to make them simple and easy for them to do that. >> the largest loss was among students age 50-plus, a 32% drop from the pre-pandemic school year, though younger students also saw large drops. among racial and ethnic groups, native american students saw the largest percent decrease at 29% followed by filipino students at a 26% drop. black students at 25% and white students at 21%.

going to the yankees. he wanted a long-term deal but he was not going to get that from the giants for the money he was asking for. did get that from the bronx bombers. and a concerning former stanford basketball player terrel terry is retiring at the age of 22, announced it with a post on instagram, citing in part the anxiety the sport has caused. he began to question "the value of myself." he left stanford after just one year, was drafted by the mavericks, played only 13 nba games in a couple of years, says is excited to find "my new identity outside of becoming a basketball player." i really wish he would have stayed at stanford. it's hard in the nba. at least he's thinking about caring for himself.
