patchy frost. chilly nights and sunny days over the weekend, milder nights and warmer weather as we get to the first day of winter on wednesday. with the upper elevation, those are what we call drainage winds. they continue to pump that colder air into the bay area. that fog really doesn't go anywhere. it comes back and it expands through the delta again. we will be left with the fog in the frost with the clear sky as we get into your sunday morning. with the offshore wind, that is a cold wind. here is what you can expect for the mountains. overnight lows in the single digits. they were down to five this morning. nine tomorrow morning. the prospect for mother nature helping with new snow, could see a few inches tuesday but the verdict is out on whether or not that system will materialize.
