>> and east bay, a young boy is dead. it happened in ranch park. police say it appears the victim walked to the park with another person and met up with the group in the car. witnesses reported s run to a nearby walmart. police caught up to the person who ran from the scene. police say the person is juvenile with a gun. no reports of serious damage from in earthquake. it struck just before 3:3 morning. it was felt across the bay area, including san francisco and the peninsula. the quakes line.

water pouring into properties in the dime heights area. one of the homes had up to three feet of water inside. the homeowner said he woke up to a bank this morning and found water gushing into the basement. >> it could have to do with temperature. overnight. >> the homeowner says water poured for about 45 minutes. investigators are trying to determine would lead a driver to crash into a post office this afternoon. no one was injured. it happened just before 3:00. police say drugs and alcohol do not have been involved in the crash. a mid air emergency united airlines flight back to where it started.

in abc7 news producer aboard the flight shot this video. the plane returned to mexico city after taking off. >> soon after takeoff, it was obvious. feel tanks we need to land a soon the plag in mexico city but the passengers had to be diverted to san francisco. staffers at 100 starbucks stores are off the job this weekend as part of their ongoing labor fight. workers in castro continue their three-day strike that began yesterday. they are fighting for what they call unfair labor practices.
