the idea of universal basic income is sweeping the country. unconditional cash with no strings attached -- attached provided to families most in need. dan: we have cover these programs at abc7news as a number of them have started. rarely have we gotten to follow her family to see the real effects. karina: yesterday, on this newscast, julian glover introduced us to a family who received six-month of basic income. tonight he continues the story and shows why organizers are calling the program a huge success. reporter: we caught up with daisy on a busy summer day as she picked up her youngest from afterschool care offered by compass family services. she is grateful for the support along with the $350 of funds -- unconditional cash she has received the last six months. she tells us she wishes even more famous can receive his
