kumasi: welcome back, everyone. the winter storm sweeping much of the country is creating interesting scenes to seeing the least. this family froze there festive pajamas in front of the house. you can see them standing upright in the front yard. the national weather service issued a wind-chill advisory for the area as temperatures fell below 10 degrees. at least they made the best of it. so many people are having a rough go. drew: we lucked out, had great weather this weekend but that luck is about to run out. tracking a strong storm moving in tonight. live look out of -- outside from sutro tower, one of the best things though is that when we get storms it clears out the air quality. today is a spare the air day. so that you can breathe easier tomorrow. the exclusive abc 7 impact scale, this is a pretty

[laughter] drew: good morning, everybody. it's storm watch this morning and it has been such a drive pattern the last week to 10 days , it's changing tonight. this time tomorrow we will be in the thick of some heavy rain and strong wind. today during the day it's time to prepare, so to speak. we are dry in the daylight hours. temperatures in the 50's out there. 64 in san jose and concord. it's after sunset overnight when we have a strong level 3 storm that will bring about the heavy rain and strong gust of wind. on the storm impact scale with that level three strong storm, we've got heavy rain with strong gusty winds.

flooding is likely on the roadways. even a thunderstorm as possible tomorrow morning. look at the rainfall estimate. it's a short amount of time in which the rain will fall and the good estimate is that we will all see one to two inches of rain thanks to the atmosphere that slams into northern california. i think there will be areas with heavy downpours and you could see two inches of rain in some cities. that is why flooding is a big concern in the north bay, in the city and on the coast for sleep -- street flooding. some of them could flood early tomorrow morning. watch it closely. it's about the wind, to. wind gusting 35 to 50 miles per hour. a wind advisory is in effect for the east bay hills of the north bay and the coast for strong wind gusts blowing around those unsecured objects. good idea later tonight to not park under any trees, the tree limbs could come down.

look closely. a 19-year-old has been arrested accused of creating and distributing fake tickets with fraud charges that involved a qr code to direct victims to the website. he admitted to the hoax but said he never got any payments. detectives are looking for other people who may have received a fake parking ticket. officials with the faa and ntsb are investigating a fire on a plane. 160 passengers had to be evacuated. the fire started right after the plane landed. >> the captain came flying out of the cabin with a fire extinguisher and was doing like in o.j. simpson over the seat. putting the fire out. kumasi: passengers had to exit the plane using the emergency slides. faa said that initially they reported a smoking laptop in the
