>> the alameda county said the voting tally system was not configured properly. now, the is working with the vendor to provide safeguards so this does not happen in future elections. the registrar voters say through a press release that they have identified -- the candidate. and it is the district for r and earlier this month they certified the winner. now opponent mike hutchinson is claiming victory. the registrar voters have not publicly announced the winner yet, but hutchinson told us yesterday that it is him. >> without being cynical, i believe in holiday miracles. it is shocking to wake up this morning and receive a phone call at 10:30 in the morning from the alameda county had of elections

battling subzero temperatures wind and ice storms. many have been working 16 or 18 hour shifts. >> we are performing one of the most dangerous jobs of any industry. that needs to be recognized. jobina: that is a lot. he says push southwest to cycle employees in and out of the cold to prevent frostbite. and to compensate them on premium pay the requests were ultimately honored but it was not soon enough. he also says with better planning, the meltdown that left thousands of passengers stranded at the airport could have been avoided. kumasi: more airline troubled this with airline -- delta airlines. a family visiting the bay area saying the airline offered them $24,000 in vouchers to give up their seat. then, took it back after the agreement was made. david reeves said he agreed to give up his seat, his wife's

seat, and daughters seat, because delta offered them an $8,000 voucher for each seat. but the copilot never showed, so delta canceled the flight and the vouchers. >> you are not honoring the vouchers that you agree to pay. now you are canceling the flight. i thought it was bad business personally. kumasi: ok, delta offered to rebook him and pay for his hotel and rental car, there is the thing, not for his next flight. airlines are required to compensate passengers before bumping them from of flight but the terms and conditions of compensation are not regulated. we reached out to delta airlines about the situation and have not heard back yet. kumasi: the man accused of attacking house speaker nancy pelosi's husband will have a trial date. he pleaded guilty of the january 6 charges including murder, burglary, and assault with a
