stronger storms said to hit us on wednesday. heavy rain. strong wind will have those details in a few minutes, guys. thank you drew this morning. people across the bay area are still picking up the pieces from the flooding that caused so many issues, abc seven news reporter lena howland joining aside and danville with a look at the damage across the east bay, lena but we are the cf brookside and everett are we are seeing quite a bit of damage left over from the flood, two days after it happened. we are seeing thick mud left over on seida streets and a few of the homes have sandbags lining the outside of their home. fire officials say this is not typical for danville and there was too much water flooding. conditions got so bad on saturday afternoon, san ramon police used an armored vehicle to help with rescues.

they rescued 13 people from severe flooding, responding to more than 100 flood related incidents in a matter of hours. fire fighters had to use a kayak for a mom and herome.we gngtoe - rescued. it was very traumatic. lena: part hit hard, drainage systems were not able znd mud was coming off of the hillside across the pathways and parking lot. this caused a sinkhole to form under the zoo during the rain and that made it 10 feet deep and 10 feet across, making it impassable for all drivers. the zoo will be closed for two weeks until the 17th because of

this damage. the good news is that no animals or staff work hurt during the flood. reggie: the officials in san mateo are warning people to stay away from local beaches until there is three days of clear whether. they said that sewage has overflowed impacting the coast. contaminated sewage water flooded streets. toilet paper and debris has been left behind one resident said his entire lock flooded. >> it is all pulling up and the sewage is overflowing and going into the storm drain. quite frankly, it is just disgusting. it is not good for the fish or the people. reggie: they say ekumasi:t powe. this is the outage map.

the east bay has been hit hard. high winds and downed trees contributed to the power outages. crews are working around the clock to restore service. one restaurant in burlingame was without power for two days. the owner bought a backup generator to run the kitchen after constant outages but that was not enough to save more than $10,000 in spoiled food. >> it is a lot of a single owner in a small business, it is a lot of money. kumasi: this is the restaurant's busiest time of year. the backup generator helped with service for local customers with -- but the outage drove away online bookings. pg&e restored power to the restaurant earlier tonight. reggie: though the rain has mostly stoped flooding is an issue. they are urging people who live downstream to evacuate now. people are asked to avoid the
