we made the decision not to show the play but hamlin tackled a bengals player, stood up, and then immediately fell on his back moments later. the first assumption was concussion, looking at the reaction of his teammates, it became clear that immediately it was something more serious. the bills said he suffered a cardiac arrest and his heartbeat was restored on the field. abc news chief correspondent is talking about it more on good morning america. >> we are seeing and hearing a tremendous amount of speculation about what could cause a sudden cardiac arrest. was this primarily a cardiac event like an arrhythmia? or was it a neurological event that caused a cardiac arrest? all we know is that there was a

first ever level 5 on our storm impact scale. good morning, everyone. it is tuesday, january 3. drew: the first level five have put in the forecast ever since this scale has been created by us about 7 years ago! another significant storm is about to hit us tomorrow. we will get a brief break from any showers today, but look at this ribbon of moisture. there is a lot of rain headed towards our area and that will hit us first thing tomorrow morning. 40's and 50's out there right now, a lot of cloud cover upstairs, live look from the exploratorium camera. temperatures will settle by the mid afternoon. this is a level five severe storm on our wednesday.

rtrs. weekend's storm cities across the peninsula are preparing for another storm. crews have been working to clear debris from the creek in palo alto before the new storm roles and. there is some water that will not go away on weak streets. department suggested people take precautions. you should probably stay off the roads. >> people were driving in standing water in areas, not being aware of how deep it could be, and then getting stuck, which prompted rescues. that is where most of our injuries and collisions are

occurring, in standing water people are trying to drive through. we encourage people to stay home, play board games with the family, but stay prepared at home so that we are able to respond to proper emergencies, and not responding to you as an emergency. >>the st people got stranded after trying to get through a close down portion of the freeway. the city of east palolto will be giving away sandbags to residents. there are 3 sandbags stations in the area. if you are in need and you are in that area, stand by and pick some up -- and picks -- by and pick some up. reggie: 20 cars were damaged when the underground garage flooded. the complex is near the coliseum station. residents have been put up in a

lena: working for the past several hours to help clean this up and only in the past couple of minutes we saw a tow truck arrived on scene to get this suv out of this sinkhole. you can see the suv partially submerged in water, including the hood and front two tires. crews are working to help this up and eventually get the car out of this sinkhole. take a look at the while the video of the moment the car fell into this sinkhole around 2:00 this morning. it happened about an hour after a water main break on castle street. crews have been on while trying to shut off the water main. it appears that no one was in the car when this happened at 2:00 this morning. that is why no one was hurt. we are still working towater ha.
