back and did get an upgrade tomorrow to a level to storm, not taking a lot of rain to make problems. scattered downpours in the forecast and thunderstorms once again. the heaviest falling in the afternoon and we will talk about the storm. we just got the latest drum monitor in and we will show you that in a few minutes. reggie: so the forecast is better for us today but we have days more rain after this and already the water is so saturated. we saw a tree fall in a vehicle and a church along a peninsula. -- along the peninsula. a reporter is there. >> good morning. the wind last night was no match for trees in foster city like this one behind me along beach park boulevard. take a look. this massive tree fell onto not only a parked car but onto the roof of a nearby church as well. this all happened before 11:00 last night. you can see the large tree leaning on the roof of a church and also on a white jeep

cherokee. no word exactly how the tree came down or if anyone was injured. also in san mateo county, the belmont mobile home park hit hard with two serious floods since new year's eve according to county data. 200 36 residents have been displaced countywide since the beginnings of the storms. many are in shelters and hotels. aside from the coastline, the red cross believes this is the most problematic zone in the entire county. >> this part of san mateo county, this particular mobile home park, is one of the worst impacted, not just the damage done but psychologically it is hard because people have to leave and come back. >> as the rain officers are noticing concerning signs on the roads. yesterday morning, officers had to close off highway 92 after a dip was on the verge into turning into a sinkhole.

heavy rain main his car's get off of the road on highway 12 and in novato, a tree came down on a playground. in the south bay, parts of gilroy are submerged and roads are closed because of flooding. a few days ago, the creek swelled and flooded nearby areas including the home of the original garlic festival. farmlands close to the creek are still satura pickup past this te pole right here, up to that craft in the road. when you had the atmosphere like we had, they just keep coming and it fills up fast and it is just a massive amount of water. kumasi: santa clara valley water says residents living close to the creek should prepare for more flooding throughout next week. reggie: about a death in the north bay, one of 19 people who died because of the recent storms in the state. at least for have been in the bay area. trees are on the bay area

from the community and to change language that was included in the proposal. kumasi: if you are flying today, be prepared for more delays and possibly cancellations. airlines are still trying to recover from the faa outage yesterday morning that grounded departing flights nationwide. we are learning more about what caused the outage and how much longer the delays could last. jobina: there are far less delays and cancellations today but they are still there. the allied pilots association says the issues could last into tomorrow. the faa says a computer engineer mistakenly replaced one file with another during a software update. that caused a ripple effect which ended up ringing down the noticed air mission system on tuesday. this gives safety information to pilots before they take off. a backup system kicked in and things seemed to be normal but ongoing issues punted the nationwide ground to stop for departing flights early yesterday morning. it was lifted in two hours but it was too late. delays had already begun for

live in foster city, lena howland, abc7news. reggie: a north bay mom is looking to a break in the rain after nearly two weeks of it. they had a close call in the stormy weather. she says she was doing housework when a tree behind her house toppled over. >> we are lucky this tree did not fall this way because it would have definitely had our house. the tree was so big. reggie: with the ground so saturated, she is anxious on what could happen when the next round of storms hit. kumasi: slow down, a message from drivers as crews prepare work following the storms this week. we want to show you video of highway 17, the santa cruz mountains. santa cruz chp says trees are falling, branches and powerlines are down and they are sinkholes and roadways throughout the county. >> did you see those move over if possible? if not slowdown. keep in mind there are workers working on the roadways to keep the roadways safe. kumasi: chp santa cruz says it

the direction we have been getting is making its way to reservoirs. the state water officials say we have a steep hill to climb. >> storage right now is less than back in 2021, better than where they were in 2022. so again we have had quite a deficit because of the drought so we are seeing steep inclines in storage and that continues that we see the storms that we can get back to kumasi:. kumasi:statewide reservoir levels are 84% of historical averages. reggie: evacuation orders are in effect for monterey residence that comes as the salinas river continues to rise from intense rain. according to the monterey sheriff's office, this flooding could turn monterey peninsula into an island. evacuation zones include north of highway 68 to the pacific ocean. authorities say people in the area have to leave immediately. >> need to be preparing for what could be the monterey peninsula

island as we call it, the moderate peninsula may become an island like it did in the 1995 flood. reggie: temporary evacuation points and emergency shelters are available. they are asking people to leave quickly and calmly and check on neighbors before they do. kumasi: with all the rain, the state snowpack is looking good, the national weather service says california's at 102% of the average for april 1. that is a typical date of the peak snow fact -- snowpack. recent snowstorms in the sierra and early start to the season have helped. california is 226% of average for the state, higher than the recorded snowpack of 1982 through 1983 and all three sections of the sierra. reggie: president biden is facing new questions over classified documents. that is because the second set of material was found at a location the president used as a private office after his time as vice president. what is the deal with this new discovery? jobina: the exact location has
