take a helicopter tour. he is expected to visit capitola. >> he will meet with first responders, officials and communities impacted by the devastation, survey recovery efforts and assess what additional federal support is needed. >> the white house has expanded the federal disaster declaration to include monterey county. leaders are giving an update on the damage. they say homes, businesses and infrastructure were all significantly affected. this video shows flooding along the salinas river. a fema expert explains how the disaster declaration frees up money to help families. >> we can provide funding for lodging expenses for those who may have evacuated their home and went to a hotel. we may be able to provide home repair assistance, home replacement assistance, for those who have lost their home totally. >> monterey county is working to

set up an in person assistance center to access these resources and hope to open it this weekend. >> people are being warned to stay out of the bay for a few more days because of the recent rain. it is likely the water is contaminated and needs to clear up. a nonprofit says there are viruses and bacteria in the bay because of the water treatment plants being overwhelmed. >> on our streets, we have lots of fertilizer, pesticides we have applied, metals coming from industrial facilities. all of that gets washed into the bay every time it rains. >> east bay buds peak it was handling around 650 million gallons of wastewater a day. on a typical day, it is around 50 million. >> if we did not have enough flooding, king tides as high as seven feet return today.

the national weather service says high tide will happen in the mornings and early afternoon. look out for minor flooding on streets near the water and beach and park trails. the tides typically happen in december and january. >> ace train service has been suspended until monday after another mudslide. the slide hit a train yesterday morning. more than 200 people were on board and three had minor injuries. lena howland in pleasanton with the details on this. >> good morning. writers who depend on the ace train to get to work every day in the silicon valley will have to find another way to get to work for the rest of the week as officials say it is not safe to run the strain for the time being -- run this train for the time being. this was our view from above the mudslide yesterday, almost

identical to the scene riders experienced tuesday. this left more than 220 passengers stranded on the tracks for hours before being brought back to the pleasanton station, forcing most people to miss work for the day, and three riders were left with minor injuries. here's what a spokesman had to say after deciding to cancel service for the rest of the week. >> two slides back to back is a little bit unprecedented for us. one of the things that passengers should know is, both from the union pacific side and the san joaquin regional rail commission, who operates the train, the safety of passengers is our priority, so as we are assessing the corridor and the safety of operations, we have the passenger safety at top of mind, so we are

obtained by abc news show santos's mother was not even in the united states on that day. the republican congressman also faces allegations that he is tied to a ponzi scheme in florida, faces charges of check fraud in brazil, and allegedly used a different name to set up a gofundme to raise $3000 for a veteran's dying dog. the veteran said he never handed over that money. santos has denied those allegations. >> san francisco police say drunk driver stole an suv, led officers on a chase, then crashed the car in twin peaks, sending the vehicle down the hill just after 11:45 last night, when officers tried to stop the driver. police say the suspect led them on a chase and drove off the road and landed on another car
