the da says the suspect and the victim in the incident were both managers.

the two men lived in trailers on the farm, and the da's the victim was in his home july 1 and her the suspect banging on his door threatening to kill him and his family. the suspect your a gun for the victim's glass door. deputies later arrested the suspect who they say smelled of alcohol. two nights different people in different circumstances and what they may have had in common was tension between employees at the farm. investigators say the suspect was allegedly taunted with an offensive nickname that may have fueled his anger leading up to the attack. local investigators are investigating the working and living conditions. for now, the main focus of locals continues to be helping one another and healing. >> it is a small community. i think everyone supports one another, and, we do have to try

to move forward and get back to how we were. >> as for the location sides these tragedies, archdiocese of san francisco confirm the archbishop will be visiting each tomorrow afternoon for prayers and blessings. there will be a vigil held for the victims tomorrow in half moon bay at 5:00 p.m. at the memorial site just across from city hall. >> the shooting highlighted the problematic and at times horrendous conditions farm workers live in and in response, the governor's office as they are launching an investigation. a statement released today said cal osha and the department of labor office are looking into potential safety and workplace violations at the shooting locations.

an intruder who prosecutors say was targeting the former house speaker. pelosi says her husband has several more months to go before he is fully recovered. a judge denied the prosecutor's request to withhold the video from being released, in part because prosecutors played the video before an open court hearing last month. >> democratic senate leaders are renewing their call for the democratic trade commission to investigate a gun manufacturing company. lawmakers claim the company markets its miniature assault rifles to children. >> they are propagating a culture of chaos and fear where americans' lives are worthless than the profits they can make from a jr-15. >> this is we won's website that labels the jr-15 as a small piece of american freedom.

lawmakers filed a similar claim with the ftc last year but say they did not hear back. >> administrators at a high school in danville are apologizing for a racist remark made by students during a basketball game last night. according to a statement from the principal, students use racist link which toward a member of the dublin high school team while he was shooting free throws. she added, "i want to be clear that in no uncertain terms, racist language and racial slurs will not be tolerated, if students are in school or elsewhere," and she says disciplinary measures will be taken. >> a4-part initiative to prevent hate crimes starts with reallocating money in the city budget. some will go to community organizations. other money will be dedicated to providing resources to victims. the city attorney and district attorney are working closely with the police chief on ways to prevent hate incidents.

it is 65 in napa. 63 in livermore. a live view from our sfo camera, you can see blue skies there as well. 62, oakland. upper 60's, san jose. 64 degrees in half moon bay. this really lovely weather, the spring-like weather we have been experiencing is courtesy of this area of high pressure. clockwise flow around that bringing us the wind, which has let up. right now, 32 miles an hour in mount diablo, so they are coming down. here is a bright view from our emeryville camera as we looked for the golden gate bridge. it will be much cooler in the morning with temperatures trending lower through the weekend and there's a chance of showers sunday with chilly days heading into next week. speaking of the chill, this morning because of the wind, many areas remained on the mild side. not going to be the case tomorrow. you will notice temperatures in

the mid to upper 30's for the coldest north bay east bay valleys. we will also have a change in the form of patchy, dense fog in the east bay valleys and along parts of the coastline tomorrow morning, and a reversal in the wind will bring about cooler weather for your friday. 59 in oakland, 64, san jose, 59 in antioch, 60, napa. 62 in santa rosa and an increase in high cloudiness. as we head toward sunday, a system drops down from the north, limited in moisture. may bring us a few showers in the morning, certainly some snow showers in the sierra. when you look at the rainfall projections, this is really going down even more and this may be completely gone as we get closer. for now, anywhere from nothing measurable to a few hundredths of an inch is all we are inspecting back -- all we are expecting by sunday night if this all pans out.

farmworkers killed at half moon bay. >> we knew that one of the things that was difficult was finding their next of kin because of the fact that they are a migrant workforce. >> five of the farmworkers killed were chinese, the oldest 70, the youngest 43. -- the oldest 73. chinese for affirmative action plans to meet with city authorities. they just set up a gofundme page to try to help. >> these are individuals who are traumatized, are in shock. they have and displaced from their homes. >> we still do not know anything about the chinese employees, how long they have been at the farm or where their families live. we also don't know about the workers' immigration status. >> i think that raises some questions.

that might have conflated with people feeling vulnerable. >> we checked with farmworker justice. according to the u.s. department of labor, california has as many as 800,000 farmworkers and less than 1% of the workers surveyed reported they were up asian dissent, but he says the u.s. has a history of asian farmworkers. >> we have a long history of asian immigrant farmworkers, especially in california. this is largely an invisible population, and when we think of farmworkers, very rarely do people think of asian farmworkers or farmworkers of asian descent. >> organizers released a statement today saying, "we need to work together to address the violence and mental health issues in our communities. our community has endured so much during the course of the pandemic and this tragedy is shattering for our community.

>> the city of san francisco is getting ready for some big budget cuts. we are talking possibly hundreds of millions of dollars. according to our media partners, at ss standard, the mayor has ordered 5% budget the following year. the mayor's budget director warning of this, "i'm telling everyone in the city that things could get worse. we may have to come back to departments for more. i think there are lots of difficult choices ahead." the city's estimated deficit is at 20 700 billion dollars -- $270 billion. >> the

difference is they are vegan. >> i have eaten at a lot of almond cookies. i know they are popular especially for lunar new year, with these are so almond-y, it is fantastic. what other flavors or popular products do you have that you have made vegan? >> i also make moon cakes. i think probably the most popular flavor of that moon cake is the classic flavors, but i also make tea flavors, so there is a matcha flavored one and jazzman. for lunar new year, i brought back the cookies i made for the winter solstice a couple years ago. it is essentially a glutinous rice ball with various fillings. they can be sweet or savory.

whichever is less. that is the law in california. any contractor trying to get more money out of you than that, they are suspect. goodyear is facing a criminal investigation over some of its tires. a federal grand jury in los angeles has requested documents from a lawsuit that was filed against the company. the tires were on rv's and according to investigators, eight deaths and dozens of injuries have then linked to them between 1998 and 2009. goodyear has denied any sort of defect with the tires. the uber eats app now has option to view as delivery person, which allows customers to see what drivers are seeing. the rideshare app has a similar feature. uber says drivers will only know the general location until an order is picked up. at that time, they will get the person's first name and last initial along with the address
