abc 7 sports anchor chris alvarez his life in philadelphia at lincoln financial field post game reactions and, chris, this one hurts. >> a half-hour later it hasn't gotten any better. it is getting colder in philadelphia, and everything that could have gone wrong did go wrong. including brock purdy getting injured on the very first try. and ashley got worse from there for san francisco. we will roll the highlights on the plate that really, probably change the outcome of the game. brock purdy hit hard right here, on the elbow. the ball popped up and ended up being a fumble. pretty suffered a right elbow injury, and was questionable to return. you see that reply, it hurt pretty badly. josh johnson, the fourth string quarterback, also suffered a concussion. pretty was only able to through the baltimore times after that. he was unable to get a good grip, his nerves were bothering him.

place downtown near city hall. the group, now, is on the move, march up to the heart of the city. sky 7 shows us the turnout, speakers their calling attention to the confrontation with five now former memphis police officers. and it's have disco, faith leaders joined elected officials to ask how we can move forward. abc7news reported tara campbell joins us live from the newsroom with more. >> this gathering was held at third baptist church, home to amos brown, who is the leader of the ncaa -- naacp here in san francisco. he called on local leaders of different faiths and professions to show up in solidarity to start healing from the tragedy in memphis. everyone from the director of san francisco's human rights commission to the police chief himself took to the podium, addressing the public and calling for an all hands on deck to ensure that an incident like

this with doesn't happen here and save disco. >> i have been here for 33 years. it is a noble profession. we have had our hiccups and bad times, but really see something like that, when so many of us work so hard to get better, at what we do, at getting better at not having those things happen, it is hard to watch. >> as we know, scorpion, special unit involved in the death of tyre nichols, has been dismantled. i asked the police chief about that, whether san francisco has a similar unit. he says he doesn't know about the specifics of the unit in memphis, but either way, he says it is about crating a culture within the department that does not condone such conduct. >> tara, thank you so much. we are hearing more from tyre nichols's family. ben crump, an attorney, claims

that there are other incidents with this up -- these officers that may have contributed to this attack. >> one young man said he was assaulted four or five days before tyre nichols was killed. he was going to get pizza. he said they pulled him out of the car, yelled profanity at him, and put a gun to his head. >> crump says that this man tried to report the encounter tries -- twice to the memphis police department, but his calls were not returned. the unit was operating as three teams of about 30 officers, which claims to target violent offenders in areas hit by high crime. the scorpion unit has been inactive since tyre nichols is arrest nearly three weeks ago. it gofundme page started by tyre nichols's mother has already raised more than a million dollars, the page was traded friday to assist with memorial expenses. some of money will go to the families -- the cost for mental

>> looking back. in southern california, the monterey park community got a chance to say thank you today today hero who risked his life to stop a this week. brandon tsay received a medal of courage from the city of alhambra today. he wrestled the gun away from the shooter, who had already shot my people people at one dance hall in monterey park, he was on his way into a second location when he ran into brandon. because of his heroism, president biden has invented -- invited brandon to attend the state of the union address in washington dc next month.

happening now in the south bay, a vigil is underway to honor the victims in monterey park, as well as to similar incidents here in the bay area. the event at san jose city hall is in remembrance of the attacks in half moon bay and oakland, as well as monterey park. seven people died when a group disgruntled -- disgruntled farmworker open fire in half moon bay the same day the teenager was killed and several others were killed during at -- injured during a recording of a musica. the seventh -- san francisco fire department says that a car, firewall moving at freeway speeds. take a look at this video. you can see firefighters spraying water on the model s on the right side of the screen. it happened yesterday afternoon near rancho cordova. officials say that they had to use 6000 gallons of water to extinguish -- extinguish the flames. because the battery cells

very chilly all around the bay area. then under sunny skies, bright conditions, dry conditions, it will be breezy. not mild. the highest will be in the low 50's across the entire region. in most locations, a little bit milder in santa rosa, which will all topped out at about 55 degrees tomorrow. and here is the accuweather 7-day forecast. very cold mornings coming our wake tomorrow and tuesday. it will still be quite chilly in the earlyhi m morning hours befe it starts to warm up a little bit in the afternoon. thursday we expect an increase in clouds. thursday is a slight chance of rain. we don't expect much from the system. partly cloudy again on saturday, and then saturday looks like a better chance of some measurable rainfall. >> abc 7 sports with chris alvarez, now. >> welcome to philadelphia and like a financial field, the site of the final game of this 2022 season for the 49ers.

it just came to a halt quickly, and a lot of that had to do with injuries. especially property, who was going to be the first ever rookie cornerback to lead his team to the super bowl. on the first drive, that hope was for -- short-lived. devonta smith on fourth down goes the, what a catch, but they did not get a clean look, it looked like it dropped to me. no challenge there, the keep getting driven. a big play and big momentum right away from the eagles. disaster on the first drive. purdy hit as he throws, a fumbl recovered by philadelphia after a challenge, but the big issue right here, party starring elbow hit hard. after the game he felt shots all over. the second, potentially, nerve damage. he just couldn't grip the football. he said to the coach that i could not throw. they tried to get them back in
