andrew good morning and as entirely nichols family prepares to lay him to rest. his death is renewing the push for police reform. the video showing the beating of tyree nichols has reignited conversations about police reform in america. we need a national conversation about policing in a responsible constitutional and humane way surrounding the bill that would have been chokeholds and no knock warrants fell apart in 2021, now senate majority whip dick durbin is calling on lawmakers to revive their efforts. these men and women with badges, put them on each day and risk their lives for us. i know that but we also see from these videos horrible conduct, but congressman jim jordans, chair of the house judiciary committee, says police reform efforts should be kept to the state and local level. i don't know that any any training any ban on there was no chokeholds used their what they did. there was just just continue to beat
