the option to return. according to the vice mayor concorde farms still closed. three mayors were closed. he believes many of the farmworkers chose to go back because they were afraid to lose their jobs. >> a lot of fear about losing their jobs. maybe getting reported, losing their houses. there are fears, so they are going to go along as the best decision. lena: meanwhile, california terra gardens team says no one would have lost their jobs. regarding housing, they said they are working on building permanent housing over the next year. this afternoon victims will be honored in interfaith memorial service at the event center at 4:00. that will be followed by a candlelight procession and a dinner and fellowship around 6:00.

weapon. according to the chronicle, this is the first approved application in the city since last year supreme court ruling to remove barriers to get a permit. applicants have to pass a background check, undergo a psychological evaluation, and complete a safety and qualifications course. supervisor catherine stefani says she plans to induce -- to introduce a bill that would expand the list of sensitive areas people cannot carry guns even with a permit. reggie: new developments in the death of tyre nichols. two more memphis police officers have been relieved of duty. we know more about one of those officers and how the nichols family is responding. jobina: one officer has been identified as preston hemphill. we had a discussioas a news team and decided we are not showing any video of the attack on tyre nichols because it can be triggering for many people. preston hemphill is now on leave

pending an investigation. five officers have been fired and face murder charges. attorneys were two of them say their clients intend to plead not guilty. nichols's stepfather says all of the officers should pay for nichols's death. this has reignited police reform talks in the senate. >> we owe it to all of the families who have lost loved ones to pass a law that will help ensure justice and accountability in our policing system. >> we should have simple legislation that we can agree upon that has been agreed upon in the past. jobina: two additional officers were not named because they had not been fired. the department says it identifies officers relieved of duty after an investigation ends. kumasi: just how much more you might pay for your pg&e bills this year.

tragedy, san mateo county has been paying for farmworkers from concorde farms and california terra garden to stay at hotels, something that will continue until they get them stable housing. according to the vice mayor, concord farms is still closed. three workers were killed there. at california terra garden, the gate was back open yesterday and abc7news confirmed some workers went back to work after meeting with hr and given the option to return. some believed that going back is part of their healing process. >> you have tears, you have memories of the people that lost their lives. they might find the healing they need. lena: terra gardens team says no one would have lost their jobs, and regarding housing they say they are working on building

permanent housing over the next year. this evening victims will be honored in an interfaith memorial service at the event center on kelly avenue at 4:00 followed by a candlelight procession to ides hall and a dinner and fellowship around 6:00. according to the information for all of these events today, all are welcome to attend as the community begins the healing process. lena howland, abc 7 news. reggie: investigators believe the motive behind the mass shooting may have been a workplace dispute. they say the 66-year-old suspect carried out the attack after was handed a bill for $100 for damaged work equipment. he is being held without bail for killing his coworkers and seriously injuring another. he faces seven counts of murder and attempted murder and could face life in prison if convicted. kumasi: we are also following a mass shooting in florida. 10 people were hurt in a drive-by that happened in

lakeland south of orlando. two the injuries are critical. police say a car drove up to the crowd and four people inside the vehicle started firing before driving away. the victims were believed to be targeted. police are still looking for the car and they are investigating whether or not the shooting was drug-related. reggie: a husband and father are being charged with the attempted murder of his wife and children. the whole family inside the car when it drove off a cliff in early january. on friday dharmesh patel was released to the hospital and taken to jail. if you look at this map, you can see with the san mateo district attorney's office says happened. they say patel made two deliberate right turns, one off of highway one onto a dirt path and the second plunging the tesla down 250 feet to the water's edge. amazingly, patel, his there two children all survived the crash.
