dead at a new york nursing home and then was found alive a few hours later. she was transported to a funeral home and then found gasping for air about half an hour after she got to the funeral home. it is not known exactly how the mistake occurred, but they checked her vitals. it did not seem like she was breathing. they thought she had passed away. they have opened an investigation into the incident, but the woman is now in the hospital and her condition is unknown. a similar incident happened in iowa last month. a 66-year-old woman was found dead but the funeral director later found her gasping for air in the body bag. the facility find $10,000.
