blair, a public defender from orange county, and his wife, kim , were staying at a resort in rosarito last month. according to kim, she went to bed first, the night of elliott's death and resort workers woke her up after finding elliott at the bottom of their four story balcony. police investigation determined he fell but kim says she believes something much darker happened. we had never been in this situation before. hours before his death, kim says she and elliot were driving back to the resort when local police pulled them over. the officers claimed the couple had rolled through a stop sign. and then she says, the officers demanded cash. elliott got kind of stood. his ground showed him his work badge and said, look, we're attorneys were not down here to mess around, but we're also not going to be taken advantage of. kim says they told the officers where they were staying and then paid them. $160 we were both rattled. but at the same time we both had this feeling of thank
