manslaughter, child endangerment and manufacturing drugs. cornell barnard spoke with neighbors who knew the suspect. >> a quiet neighborhood. people are nice and in the middle of the street, you have this guy doing something illegally. >> karen spoke to us from the second floor window of her red tag at home next door to the house which exploded thursday morning. police say a narcotics lab was being operated inside. 53-year-old darren price was arrested friday. >> that's the right thing to do. because he's very destructive, causing property damages and disrupt people's lives. >> the suspect we arrested, darren price, we believe that was his primary residence. >> neighbors say price lived at the house with his family, although two young children were not at home at the time of the explosion, neighbors and say his

wife and caregiver were inside. the frantic, injured caregiver asked him to call 911. >> she ran all the way across the street and ran right in front of me and said help. someone is inside. >> the body of a woman was found inside the rubble. first responders were seen removing tanks and canisters from the house with unknown substances. the massive explosion rocked the neighborhood, blowing doors off hinges and shattering windows. >> this is part of the window frame that blew out. >> terry was still cleaning glass from his house five doors down. >> i find it amazing how it could happen in a residential area, neighborhood like this, it is so quiet. >> neighbors said they never expected anything unusual was happening inside this house. >> i know people say you are right next to it but i'm telling you, when everybody close their

doors, when they close their doors, you're not getting invited to anything, they don't speak to you, you just don't know what's inside people's homes. >> cornell barnard, abc7news. gloria: new developments in the death of popular baker jen angel. friends and families have expressed their desire that criminals not be put in prison and go through restorative justice instead. the oakland police department is responding. while it says they respect their wishes, they have a legal obligation to do an investigation and passed the findings to the alameda county district attorney's office. no arrests have been made in the case. angel died after she was dragged chasing thieves who robbed her. former twitter workers are calling out twitter ceo elon musk. a protest outside of twitter headquarters on saturday in response to musk laying off 7500 workers last year.

the employees who were let go made a path of the comedy -- of the companies workforce. one of the song selections was i can't get no contract satisfaction. a muralist presented a painting of musk on a one-way trip to mars. rail service to millbrae francisco will resume tomorrow. the project shut down service from those areas all weekend long. as of right now, bus bridges are running in caltrans says you should expect 45 minutes added to your trips. crews are working to electrify the tracks starting with 20,000 feet this weekend. caltrain officials say the electric feats will be faster, safer, and will reduce emissions and improve air quality. electrified service is set to begin next year. in the east bay, a portion of i-680 shut down.

this is a map of the affected area, the northbound lanes of i-680 between cute men road. the closure ends at 5:00 tomorrow morning. caltrans is replacing sections of the freeway. caltrans posted photos of the work on saturday. you can see the southbound lanes remain open. another closure is scheduled for the same area next weekend. on the big sur coast, another portion of highway one is reopening following a historic winter storm. this section opening spans 18 miles from the southern entrance to mill creek. yesterday, a 10 mile stretch was reopened. since the series of atmospheric rivers swept through the state, crews have been cleaning up landslides, debris and more. the countdown is on for super bowl lvii. there's a lot of excitement and hype around the matchup between the philadelphia eagles and

gloria: operations are back to normal for an energy infrastructure company after a leak was detected in one of its pipelines in nevada. the link -- the leak prompted the nevada governor to declare a state of emergency. drivers pouring into gas stations out of fear over the weekend. the pipeline rides fuel storage facilities in nevada with unleaded and diesel fuel. landlords and property owners in san francisco are not happy with the cities tax on empty homes. several of them are suing the city and argue proposition m is unconstitutional. the tax kicks in after unit is left vacant for over 182 days a year.

storms. it can cover things like temporary housing, home repairs, moving and storage expenses. alameda is one of four counties where fema disaster assistance is available. in addition to san mateo, contra costa and santa cruz. the deadline to applies march 16. homeowners in oakland had to find a new place to stay after a tree about 50 feet tall fell to the ground. it damaged to homes and a garage yesterday morning. a large oak tree fell homes right next to each other. leanne hoffman, whose home was damaged, say -- said she was in her living room when the tree fell down. sure to cracking sound in a loud boom. she said she was afraid the tree was going to fall. >> i moved all my furniture to the far end of my living room near my deck and i was sleeping on the couch with my close on because i had a feeling this was going to happen. gloria: according to a

conversation she had with pg&e, her house currently not livable. this morning, we have lisa argen tracking the forecast on the super bowl sunday. how is it looking? lisa: a few clouds around and breezy in the upper elevations, but we are already tracking a warm up. temperatures are getting to the readings we had yesterday for highs, so we were about 10 degrees below average and we only have a one-day warm up in store. there is a look at the visible picture that shows yesterday's system sinking to the south and as it drops away from the bay area, drier air moving in. you can see that counterclockwise rotation. those high, thin, wispy serious clouds are with us and we will be looking at mostly sunny conditions. a look outside from our exploratorium camera -- 46 in the city. 50 in oakland, 47 in palo alto.

and 70's today. now to the controversy on cap street in san francisco. our team of reporters have been covering issues related to sex workers in the area. on friday, new roadblocks were set up in an area to curb the amount of activity on the street. the question is is it working? as unser has sun tells us, it depends on who you ask. >> all day sat to find new ways around the roadblocks on cap street. >> you seem a lot the street? >> a lot. it's very active, but not last night. >> last night, the barriers were in place, but why the barriers at all? >> it will stop the car traffic coming through that's related to the sex workers on our street, so it might help, which is more than we have had before. >> elaine has lived on cap street for the past 25 years. many residents are fed up more is not being done to tackle the

gloria: who are you betting on this super bowl sunday? two baby elephant twins made their game predictions in syracuse and they are seen kicking around the footballs and tearing apart cardboard boxes covered in chiefs and eagles logos. the zoo joked in versus brother fashion, one pick the chiefs and the other picked the eagles to win super bowl lvii. our producer tells me the eagles are favored to win, so i guess we will see which baby elephant has the right prediction there. lisa: and looking forward to rihanna, for sure. yesterday's system, you can see the rotation here well to the south of us and we were left with a few high clouds and some fog will set up along the san mateo coast with a nice day on the way. atop vollmer p, you can see a pretty good view, temperatures ranging from the low 40's in

santa clara to the mid 40's in san francisco. 50 in oakland, bay and an onshore flow, not too bad. there's a look at sfo. 46 in santa rosa with low 40's by the delta. 50 it napa. definitely feeling the influence in the upper level wind today as we get the air moving down to the surface. that down sloping and we will look for not only these winds to continue to gust but mount diablo missing a reading there. mount st. helena up to 38 miles an hour. tomorrow, we will have gusty onshore winds, so partly cloudy. mostly sunny and much milder today with gusty winds in the upper elevations. it all switches tomorrow as the system slides to the south and we will look for that chilly pattern developing on tuesday

and a pretty cold week with temperatures well below average. there is a look at wind advisory. 10:00 through 6:00 on tuesday. you can see marin county, the coast through san francisco and the peninsula, it is going to be pretty gusty as we get into monday and these winds could be over 50 miles an hour. into tuesday, here comes that system. it could bring a splash of rain but it is a rain and snow mix in the upper elevations. all that cold air floods in and we are talking some of the coldest temperatures we have seen in a while, not only for the highs but afternoon lows wednesday and thursday. the winds are getting quite nasty with mid-50's at the coast and notice the colors dropping into that cold lou where we will see temperatures barely at 50. we try to recover wednesday but another system could bring just a little bit of sprinkle
