moments following tuesday morning's explosion that left one person dead. investigator saying narcotics lab was found inside the home. cornell barnard joins us live on the scene. so much destruction behind you. >> tonight we are sense from that video of how intense, how incredible the blast really was. we talk to neighbors who are standing just feet away the moment it happened. them of in a house on 20 2nd avenue explode thursday morning. the blast strong enough to force open car doors. that is albert and his neighbor who were standing across the street. they were nearly knocked down. what did it feel like?

>> just a bomb and then decide fired. >> my neighbor and i were showered with glass shards. showered. i kept looking at myself. i don't have any -- i'm not injured. >> you were not cut. >> i'm not cut. >> police say a woman inside the house was killed. a caregiver made it out alive but suffered major injuries. >> there was a woman as soon the explosion happened, i could hear this woman screaming. i could not see her. >> police say a drug lab was being operated inside the home. 53 real darren price was arrested friday. he faces charges of involuntary manslaughter, manufacturing drugs and child endangerment. two children who lived in the house were at school the time of the blast. >> quiet neighborhood. people are nice. in the middle of the street you have this guy doing something illegally.

>> karen is a rag tag to. she lives next door to the house that exploded. on this side this house is also condemned. a preschool family and their family lived. there is >> a fundraiser for her. she is an amazing spectacular preschooler. everyone is safe but imagine your home gone and destroyed. >> multiple other homes in the neighborhood suffered damage in the explosion. broken windows and doors. those repairs will take time and money. town hall meeting on wednesday at 5:00 p.m. for neighbors impacted by the explosion and fire. he says city departments will be there offering resources and information to help a lot of neighbors try to move forward. we are live in san francisco. >> those neighbors need all the support they can get.

for a hit and run driver they say intentionally struck a woman in castro valley. that incident happened at 7:30 lies night in the parking light of first presbyterian church near redwood road. authorities say a man driving a nissan sentra may have initially brushed against a 77 woman. they say that led to a shouting match between the two. investigators say he turned the car around purposely knocking the woman to the ground. the woman had to be taken to the hospital but she is expected to to be ok. u.s. military aircraft shot down a high flying object over lake huron this afternoon. march the third object shot down over north america over the past three days. elwood lopez is in washington nfmed toews and other high-altitude object was shot

down on sunday afternoon over lake huron. according to one officially it was shot down by a u.s. military aircraft. today's incident comes one day after another unidentified object was shut down on saturday according to officials. this one over the yukon in canada. the object first detected friday night. canadian and u.s. planes scrambling to scope it out. president biden speaking to katie and prime minister justin trudeau giving the green light for a u.s. f-22 fighter to take the shot trudeau thinking the long-standing partnership that monitors the sky and the sea writing quote thank you to norad for keeping the watch over north america. >> i also spoke with president biden and confirmed together that we will continue to do everything necessary to protect the sovereignty of our shared north american airspace. day after a u.s. fighter jet shut down a similar object over alaska. the military and fbi are working to recover that object.

it comes on the heels of the u.s. shooting down a suspected chinese spy balloon off the coast of south carolina february 4 after it transverse to the united states. >> shooting the bull and down in the atlantic once it flew over all the military bases including my own for campbell, kentucky. it is very disturbing. i'm glad the administration is taking it more seriously but we have a whole love bigger problem than chin with -- problem with china than the spy balloon. > chuck schumer defended the handling of the situation. >> we are probably going to be able to piece together this whole surveillance balloon and know exactly what is going on. that is a huge coup for the united states. >> schumer says the u.s. gains intelligence information from surveilling the balloon. >> rescue workers continue search through the devastation and destruction in turkey and syria. they are hoping to find more survivors nearly a week after a

devastating 7.8 magnitude earthquake. . the death toll stands at 32,000 lives lost across the two countries. >> nearly a week after devastating earthquake struck turkey and syria turkish officials issuing arrest warrants targeting more than 100 30 people allegedly involved in the construction of those collapsed buildings that killed thousands of families as they slept. the hope of finding a survivors continues to fade. >> it is many days beyond now. naturally the temperature the climate is pretty rough here. and the type of collapse and structures down on them make it very difficult. >> still glimmers of hope as rescuers worked tirelessly to find survivors. a two-month-old baby pulled from the rubble of the decimated building. nearby a seven-year-old boy rescued at the 136th hour.

140 hit this 10-year-old girl freed from beneath the destruction. usaid rescue officials and dogs continue to scour hundreds of sites across the city hoping to find more survivors. u.s. military aircraft and supplies are arriving in turkey to aid the response. across the border in syria there have been challenges getting aid to the victims. >> people have they have not got medicine. they have not got basic hygiene supplies. water and sanitation is in ruins. this is a community for whom the earthquake was one massive hit. the grave danger affects people. for those who survived the >> quake many are left with nothing. temporary accommodations made out of shipping containers.

>> a portion of i-680 is scheduled to reopen to drivers early tomorrow morning. they have been shut down since friday night. caltrans is replacing sections of freeway and repaving it. concrete will be poured this evening but the rebar installation has been completed. southbound lanes remain open. another closure is scheduled for the same area next weekend. it is the end of an era. a long-standing camera shop is closing for good on sunday. mike's camera shop is closing in mill valley after failing to come to an extended lease agreement. for decades the shop shared their expertise in camera equipment. a shop employee says business has been down since digital photos gained popularity. another location -- other ones will remain open in sacramento, menlo park, pleasant hill and dublin. coming up, a valentine's day family festival where some kids made some do slip three friends.

over the inland east bay lows mainly in the low 40's. livermore will be the chilly spot. 42 at san jose. right around the bay shoreline low temperatures mainly in the low 40's. i talked about the wind earlier. a wind advisory will be any fed from 10:00 tomorrow to 6:00 a.m. tuesday especially for the coastline and the marin coastal mountain range. we will be telling about winds generally out of the northwest at 20 to 30 miles per hour but gusts up to 50 and winds at the intensity can produce downed tree limbs and power outages. highs tomorrow. mid-50's on the coast. low 60's around the bay shoreline. east bay hides in the mid 60's. here is a look at the
