--[explosion] kumasi: the home exploded, push to make homes safer. reggie: united airlines retraining some pilots after a flight to sfo nearly ended in disaster. >> got it. kumasi: all hail the celebrations are underway in kansas city as fans celebrate a super bowl win. a look at the memorable moments in the huge announcement from rihanna after halftime. reggie: good morning, it's monday, february 13. kumasi: there's a lot to get you up on but we start with a look at the forecast. drew: areas of dense fog leading to a sunny if not breezy days later this afternoon. right now the problem spots we are focusing on our napa and san jose where we are down to zero miles of visibility.

a live look here from the bay bridge toll plaza, you can see some fog lingering around 9 a.m. and then a cold front moves through. it's going to whip up the wind. gusty wind later this afternoon. temperatures in the 50's and 60's. a wind advisory beginning at 10 a.m. along the coast with wind gusts up to 50 miles per hour. we will show you that in a few minutes, going hour-by-hour to show you the strong gusts of wind. kumasi: thank you, drew. a new look at the explosion that rocked the san francisco sunset district. neighbors outside of a home got hit with debris on sunset avenue. lena howland joins us in live now from san francisco. lena: kumasi a new sense of just how powerful that explosion was on thursday morning that destroyed this home. first-hand accounts from neighbors that were standing right outside when it happened

and some powerful new security video. [explosion] take the home exploded here off 20 2nd avenue, all caught on a neighbors home exterior -- 22nd avenue, all caught on a security camera. shattering glass and -- throughout the block. a caregiver made it out alive but suffered major injuries. one day after the blast police told us a drug lab was being operated inside the home. 53-year-old darren price was arrested friday and faces charges of involuntary manslaughter, manufacturing drugs, and child endangerment. >> what did it feel like? >> a bomb. >> it's a nice neighborhood. the people are nice. then in the middle of the street you've got this guy doing something illegal.

rick: home is one of two that were red tagged. the supervisor plans to hold a private town hall meeting on wednesday night at 5:00 for all the neighbors on the block who have been impacted by the explosion. fire and other city departments will be there to provide resources and support for neighbors so they can move forward. live in san francisco, lena howland. reggie: lena, thank you. the search is on for a driver involved in a deadly hit and run crash south of hostetler road. the victim was found inside her car. chp says a car and a truck believed to be the suspect bus vehicle were founded the scene. investigators believe the driver of the truck took off after the crash. a growing national security concern this morning after a series of unidentified objects

were discovered flying in u.s. airspace over the weekend. jobina, there have been four of these in eight days. jobina: we have learned that the spy balloon from china last weekend out three unidentified objects over the weekend, the most recent was shut down yesterday over lake huron. the octagon shaped structure was unmanned, traveling about 20,000 feet near sensitive sites. so far, no indication of surveillance capabilities for any of the objects seen over the weekend. there are a lot of questions about why so many objects have been detected recently, but the pentagon tells abc news that after the spy balloon from china was discovered norad turned up the sensitivity of radars to detect smaller objects. >> there is a bit of a we won't get fooled again going on. it doesn't mean there are more of them, we are just looking for them now and we are finding more of them. jobina: the latest incident comes one day after a u.s.

fighter jet shut down and on -- shot down an unidentified object over the canadian yukon territory on saturday. a day before that another unidentified object was shut down -- shot down over the coast of alaska. officials are looking for the wreckage from the object shut -- shot down over the yukon but so far hit -- so far efforts have been hampered by the weather. kumasi: kansas city chiefs waking up as super bowl champs again for the first time in -- second time in four years. >> the rush has come. throwing it as far as his arm can take it, well short. the chiefs are the winners of super bowl lvii. kumasi: the chiefs overcame a 10 point deficit. patrick mahomes injured his ankle at the end of the first half but lassiter come back.

much-needed funding in jeopardy. friday a federal judge halted the removal of the woods street encampment. the city was supposed to start relocating residents to three other sites but the sites are not ready. the play that we were just showing you will have another showing on the 26 in oakland. kumasi: united airlines pilots undergoing additional training after a report showing a flight nosedived off the coast of maui in december. the plane came within 800 feet of the ocean before it recovered and finished the trip. authorities say pilots gave a voluntary safety report to the faa. the pilots had a total of 25,000 hours of flying time. the airline has not said which crewmember was flying at the time of the nosedive. a spokesperson said safety remains their highest priority. reggie: back to the super bowl, where a lot of the talk is about the halftime show.

when mixed with opioids it can be deadly. the dea is warning that tranq is showing up more and more out west. matt dorsey wrote a letter to the medical examiner in support of the efforts to test for it this year. he wants to make sure that the city is set up to monitor for tranq and tests for it. unlike opioids, if someone overdoses it cannot be reversed by the nasal splay -- spray narcan, making tracking the drug that much more critical. clicks god forbid if there is an addictive drug out there for which these interactions are not going to work, it's going to be terrifying. >> put out some kind of public notice in some way to those on the streets so that they know the supply is tainted with tranq so they can protect themselves. >> this mother is worried about

really briefly so you may have missed it but we want to give it it's time, for the first time an all-female team of pilots flew over state farm stadium during the pregame on sunday, commemorating 50 years of women aviators in the navy. one pilot said she has always loved watching flyovers. >> commemorating something so special for the people who have paved the way for us. if our faces and us flying over the super bowl gives that one person, that one child that dream, that motivation to do what we are, i think it's worth it. reggie: zimmerman grew up in the bay area and was inspired by her pilot to become a filer -- by her father to become a pilot. kumasi: the annual puppy bowl was historic, for the first time ever going into overtime.
