>> we have been on this from the very beginning. reporter: we are told less than an hour of these barriers drivers were removing them off the street. the mess left behind has become hazardous. >> the barricades went up this weekend. have they helped? >> right now, it's more like a head ache trying to get apartments or homes. but as far as the weekend goes, that's when stuff is going on. reporter: he has been laughing in san francisco's mission district for the past 47 years and never seen the alleged prostitution so bad and don't think the barriers will do much to stop it. reporter: have you noticed anything this weekend?

>> too soon to tell. everything that has been done this weekend is everything. reporter: less than an hour after they put up temporary barriers between 22nd and 18th street this white tesla is seen driving through. pictures shown several barricades are pushed down or moved off. they had to reassemble the barricades six times per day. they replaced several of them. >> it was a situation. >> same. reporter: has it helped? >> no. because you won't stop cars going through there and they will move down to the next street.

smelling before the blast. >> i smelled like a gas leaking. reporter: that's what this woman he remembers before a massive explosion and fire. all they have left the shell of their home. she is grateful that her husband and 6-year-old daughter were not home. she is still badly shaken. >> it is terrible. i can't sleep. reporter: the blast was so strong and could be heard 20 blocks away and two homes were knocked off the foundation. we are awaiting official are confirmation and police say the man shown here is darren price this is video. he is visably upset. a disabled woman died. neighbors said this was price's wife.

happening around the city and this is a sense of urgency. >> i don't know if they are shorthanded. a lot of these restaurant owners are on high alert. three on this block. one behind us. burger king hyped us, we're all getting hit. >> the oakland police department and city of oakland did not respond to requests for comint. anchor: cyclists are raising concerns over targeted attacks. drivers are getting close to cyclists trying to deliberately hurt them. groups are afraid of going out on the road. >> what cyclists say is happening. a car is getting close. the passenger opens the door trying to knock them off.
