word overnight that the threat was over. police saying the gunman allegedly seen in photos released overnight, had taken his own life. but now the campus of nearly 50,000 student dent's is left on edge, asking one question. why this morning tragedy on the campus of michigan state university, where police say a gunman killed at least three people and wounded several others down on the ground, so he couldn't be seen. they don't know where everyone is. i don't know where one of my friends are locked in a room in the cafeteria right now. students at the east lansing campus, describing the chaos around 8:15 p.m. barricading themselves wherever they could, after hearing shots inside an academic building. these images showing students barricade waiting in the library. we saw people start running for their lives, and we immediately knew like something's off like we gotta get inside, like locked the house down, turn off all the lights and just barricade ourselves inside a student. we spoke to says he was in a classroom where the shooter opened fire. the shooter came in

our room and shot 3 to 4 times. and i'm pretty sure she he had 22 students in our classroom. police say they found more victims at another building investigators releasing new pictures of the suspect entering that building. the manhunt coming to an end after midnight , four hours after the shooting , when police say the suspect turned the gun on himself as a father, i can only imagine how parents are feeling right now. this will be the beginning of a long healing process. the shooting marks the 67th mass shooting in the us this year, and it comes five years to the day after the shooting at marjory stoneman douglas high school in florida. michigan secretary of state describing last night's shooting as unfathomable, saying this repetitive terror cannot continue. we must come together and do whatever it takes to protect our kids and communities from gun violence. police did not identify the victims overnight. five others are in

slow cylindrical object about 40,000 ft over alaska and object that a similar altitude over canada. and an octagonal object shot down above michigan's lake huron at 20,000. ft abc news has confirmed the f 16 fighter that shot down the object over lake huron missed on the first try a second missile brought it down. these objects do not present a military threat to anyone on the ground. they do, however, present a risk. the civil aviation. and potentially. and intelligence collection threat. the u. s is still working to recover debris from the three most recent objects. the white house says the objects had no communication signals and no maneuvering or propulsion capabilities. a senior u. s official says. there's little indication the objects were anything more than weather balloons or some kind of similar scientific craft. no one has reported whether balloons missing, but there are well over 1000 launched every day worldwide close to 200 here in
