50,000 customers are in the dark. the cause? a major fire this afternoon. bridge back down. not to a live look at the oakland airport camera. my people are showing experiences on social media, saying no one is able to go anywhere. we're joined live from there. i can only imagine the frustration. >> can see beyond scene to the travel nightmare back during the holiday time at the airport. another headache of a travel day because a lot of passengers had their flights brought to a screeching halt.

fortunately, things are back up and running. there's a lot of delays were stuck on the tarmac for over an hour because of the substation. oakland park hartman arrived on scene and noticed snow coming from the yard. they notice the transformer was on fire. they noticed customers have been affected by the impact. as mentioned, things here were brought to a halt. lines of the airport struc well outside of the terminal. workers halt security. able to get the wire under control but the power outage remains for much of the area. >> significant amount of customers are out of service.

no one was hurt. an arrest has been made following a viral video coming out of san jose. it shows a street vendor being attacked. assault with a deadly weapon and carjacking charges. police say he may be assault friday morning. it appears the man was an employee at a nearby business. the video shows the suspect upset he was selling barbecue meats. sanchez declined medical treatment after the attack. the attack is the second assault in less than a week. take a look at this. last thursday, someone assaulted a food vendor. that was caught on camera.
