dustin cruz in the mountains. leah melendez is tracking conditions in the north bay. >> we begin with sandhya patel for the latest on the weather right now. what is on the way? >> just about everything you can imagine. let me show you live doppler 7. we are going to talk about what is happening first. with our radar, we will get you into where we are seeing a wintry mix around the santa cruz mountains around the summit of santa cruz, highway 17. up to the north around cloverdale, you can see just a wintry mix there. as we wind this picture, current level one storms are producing lightning strikes over the sierra. we have seen some isolated thunder in the bay area. that is still not out of the question. as we go hour-by-hour, we will continue to see isolated to spotty showers going into 2:00. 7:00 tomorrow evening, things begin to pick up in terms of

coverage. you will see more widespread rain and certainly some snow as well. gusts nowhere near the intensity of yesterday. it is morning. spotty showers, windy conditions. snow over the hills between 1500 and 2000 feet. that leads me to something very good. total snow inches. that will remain up until friday morning. cora does a the santa cruz mountains, berkeley hills, napa hills, you could be seeing some snow. the snow level will drop to about 5000 feet. quick thank you, in the cruz mounds, the community of boulder creek is coming together after strong winds -- for that injured a baby in his home. dustin dorsey spoke with

neighbors and joins us now, live. what is the latest? >> you know we are very happy to report the neighbors have told usatas trapp tedt underneath a tree citn doe am house is expected to be ok. it came down in winds that neighbors described as something they have never felt before. neighbors and boulder creek picking up branches and debris, a cleanup after winds they say were unlike anything they ever felt. >> we heard snapping. >> i felt the ground roebling like an earthquake. i went out and could not walk on my deck. there was debris everywhere. >> a massive tree came crashing through a fence across two homes, pulling wires down with it. screams for help from a mother inside one of those houses.

the parents of a one-year-old baby boy hit by branches that came through the roof of their home. nothing you can do. crush the quick work of many neighbors helped rescue baby milo. some raced down the mountain to get cell service to call 91 one while others cleared a path for first responders. boulder creek fire to baby milo to the hospital where he's been treated for broken legs and a broken pelvis. the family has told him he is expected to survive. when the family came up to get some of the stuff, they told us the baby had surgery. to be ok, this neighborhood now focuses their attention on the

next set of stormy days ahead, at any time, they know anyone of these massive trends could be the next one to fall but they push on, getting ready for the next one, just part of that mountain living. fall, those neighbors are preparing for more storms to be coming to this area including possible snow as winter storm watch is expected here thursday into friday. i just got word there is a gofundme account for baby milo and the family as they look to recover after that tree crashed into their home. i will make sure to put that information out on social media and the links that will be on our website. in the santa cruz mountains, dustin dorsey, abc7news. >> think it is milo is ok. a lot of people are still without power across the bay area. here is a live look at the outage map. a little guide, green is less

close as the marin county significantly died down late this morning, crews were able to remove some of the fallen trees and branches from the night before. the concern is the anticipated snow possibly even falling on some of the lower elevation areas. >> i would say stay away. i don't know if that is what people want. it is very rare to get snow up here but drive like you're in the mountains and use the ability to drive defensively. as we -- we witnessed moment after thi car flipped over. no one was hurt. if there is no, the county is not equipped with snow plows to clear the roads. if driving conditions become a potential hazard, the state park could keep the gates leading to mount tam closed. they gates come down at sundown and we open it sunrise. most of the locals will come out mid week, they are aware it is going to get pretty nasty in the

dan, liz, it sounds so crazy it's possible. we are already starting to see that wintry mix. let's check out live doppler 7 right now. they says you might see it, the hills surrounding livermore, grizzly peak and the east bay, oakland hills, boulder creek. let's get you to street level radar where we know we are seeing a bit of snow showers, showers right around highway 35, skyline boulevard not out of the question either. some showers out of woodside as we go toward the santa cruz mountains. it is a wintry mix. that is something you have to watch out for because if you are traveling, this is going to be problematic as we look at red winery rode up in the north bay, certainly cold enough, temperatures in the 40's. san francisco's high today only 48°, it was a. dorthe last time was 49. you're seeing some
