creates treacherous travel conditions from coast to coast. all of a sudden, i heard a big boom and a big red fire came up authorities in arkansas, saying five people were killed in a small plane crash in little rock cause under investigation, but when gusts were reportedly 40 mph at the time. it comes as 135 million americans and more than 40 states are on alert for high wind, snow and ice. in michigan , a volunteer firefighter was killed when a power line fell on him after i snapped a tree branch. power outages reported overnight in california, illinois and wisconsin, and many more outages are expected in los angeles county, a rare blizzard warning up to seven ft of snow could fall in the higher elevations. overnight this 20 vehicle pile up east of los angeles. eight people injured. the storm brought these intense conditions to northern arizona, where police had to shut down at

year old keith melvin moses was arrested, charged with the killings. no word overnight on a motive. authorities say moses has a lengthy criminal history that includes aggravated battery assault with a deadly weapon and gun charges. meanwhile spectrum news releasing a statement overnight, saying, we are deeply saddened by the loss of our colleague and the other lives senselessly taken today. this is a terrible tragedy for the orlando community, and all three people were killed. the mother of that nine year old and the other spectrum news crew member, meanwhile, are in the hospital in critical condition. as police try to determine a motive. ntsb is expected to release a preliminary report today on the toxic train derailment in ohio. it comes as transportation secretary pete buddha, says visits east palestine meeting with officials in residents. meanwhile, norfolk southern is changing its cleanup plan to include removing tracks in order to excavate more contaminated soil. the e p a is threatening to find the company's $70,000 per day if it doesn't follow through on its commitments. critics say that's nothing considering the company makes billions in profits. residents
