resource officers since they were pooled by the school board about three years ago. this comes as jason p into was killed on campus last wednesday and a second student was injured. police believe the stabbing happened during a confrontation between multiple students. the mother of the 16-year-old stabbed in the hand during the dispute says that she warned school that the students were having issues and says three weeks they have been trying to get a resolution. she says her son was assaulted by the same 15-year-old freshman and that jaden's tires were slashed last week, allegedly by the same student. >> i want to make it very clear that the school and the school district failed my son. and they failed jaden and they failed the rest of the students that attend this school. lena: the 15-year-old freshman accused of stabbing jaden as well as another student have been arrested. amid safety concerns brought up

non-four-wheel-drive's. officials in the sierra are warning to play it safe with these harsh conditions. >> the snow is going to be around for a while. if anyone wants to come out and play, we welcome you when the sun is out. and san bernardino residents are trapped and isolated under several feet of snow. immunities are doing their best to clear heavy snow from their homes. some say they can hear the weight of this note damaging their homes. >> we stayed up all night because we were hearing pops and cracks. my stepdad dug out the shovel. we lost our two sheds. he dug out the latter and we spent all day taking off tons of snow. reggie: people living in crestline are getting some help. snow power -- snowplow cruise are clearing out making it easy for residents to get food and water. many are stranded after the snow buried their cars. the road is open down the mountain but many are being cautious because of fears to

trees around it. crews tried rendering aid on scene to the woman but that was unsuccessful. >> i heard she was with her husband and son. a horrible tragedy. most people are enjoying the fun of the park and not paying attention to looking up and saying, that tree is that a bad angle, maybe i should go somewhere else or be more careful. it is a tragedy. reggie: the trail where it happened is closed off to hikers this morning. family members have not shared the woman's name. they say they are trying to process what happened. liz: in the north bay a fallen tree made it dangerous for anyone traveling down the main country road. you can see a large oak tree fell on that roadway yesterday afternoon in the st. helena area. nobody was hurt. and crews moved quickly to reopen both lanes. reggie: investigators from the national transportation safety board in ohio expecting that investigating after another train to rome and in ohio.

this a month after a toxic training derailment in palestine. the train is operated by the same company. jobina: in the last months, trains from the north folk company have derailed. among them were four empty tankers with residual amount of diesel exhaust fluid and industrial product. authorities at the scene say the crash causes no threat to public helpful stop -- public health. >> there was no hazardous leaking, no spillage. jobina: no one was injured. the cause of the crash is still under investigation. in east palestine residents say they are still suffering from skin irritation, coughing, fatigue, headaches and anxiety. the situation has profit new biden legislation which imposes real officials to notify if they are transporting hazardous

snow falling from back to back storms. some people are still stranded. crews try to clear away tons of snow and volunteers handing out supplies as some people run out of food and gas. >> we have snowplows but it is too thick and it is too hard and they are not equipped for this kind of ice. it is just too much. gloria: her and her father have been snowed into their home in arrowhead lake for nearly two weeks. their cabin is surrounded by nine foot walls of snow. officials say crews have removed so much snow from san bernardino county it could fill the superdome five times. authorities say they will evacuate anyone who wants to be evacuated and send them down the hill to shelters. reggie: all the fresh snow is great for the skiers and snowboarders hoping to hit the snopes -- hit the slopes but officials want to remind you it
