of blowing up two pg&e equipment. investigators say he is responsible for two transformer explosions miles from his home. according to documents, his wife told investigators, he likes chaos, and made comments about attacking infrastructure. jobina: tonight, the santa rosa school board is meeting for its first regular meeting since the stabbing at the high school. it's been one week since one student was killed and another injured inside a classroom. last night, hundreds gathered for a listening session to brainstorm what could be done in the future to keep students safe. while no decisions were made, the meeting served as a starting point. >> hundreds of parents, students, and educators packed into santa rosa's event center tuesday night.

safe at school, and that needs to change. reggie: happening today, parents from a charter school planning to close in sunnyvale are planning to protest the decision. it comes as the district is dealing with financial issues. lena howland joins us from denali middle school. lena: good morning. later on this morning, will be hearing from both parents and local officials outside of summit denali high school who are pushing back against the district decision to close that campus and the campus behind me, summit denali middle school, by june of this year. this comes after the school board voted to close both campuses of the public charter school by june because of financial issues. the group says this is h 650 students and their families, citing a pattern of mismanagement and lack of transparency in the district. parents also say they were not

given the respect and grace of a one-your notice to find another school. in an interview, one parent told us, they don't understand why they are now just being informed of the financial troubles. >> it has become extremely clear to us parents who have evaluated the finances that something is off. there is a mismatch between what they are telling us and what we see in black-and-white, and in numbers. they need to get transparent. lena: in a n january 12, denali said it's been operating at a deficit for its entire 10 years since opening and that there is no sustainable financial path forward. it also explained a loss of state funding is largely to blame. today's press conference at summit denali high school is expected to start at 9:00. we will let you know what happens.

created a dire situation for people living in mendocino county. some are trapped in their homes. liz kreutz spoke to someone who spent three nights in her car after getting stuck in the snow. >> this is what it looked like in mendocino county as rescue crews made their way up this monday road to help three people stranded in the snow. one woman spent three nights trapped in her car. it happened in the town of lakeville, here in the northern part of the county. a woman was attempting to drive to her elderly mother when she got stuck. she had no cell signal and could not call for help until a day later. >> she got stuck in snowy conditions, had been there since midnight on friday. >> because of the conditions, it was not until monday that responders could reach them woman. think fully, she had food and water in her car, but she was very cold and showed signs of dehydration.

jobina: in the east bay, and gardening safety morning goes out to those living near the martinez refinery. residents are advised to not eat any produce grown in the soil. officials say the soil could have been exposed to heavy metals from the refinery flareup last thanksgiving. the metals produce ---like substance consisting of aluminum, lead, copper, and zinc. an advisory will remain in effect until testing is completed. reggie: storms in their area would make you think that the
