we will have a closer look at the winds and the weekend forecast. reggie: we are getting the better idea of the storms impacted damaged by the numbers. pg&e says about a hundred thousand families and businesses in the bay area lost power at some point tuesday. there were 240,000 outages at once. about 24,000 customers are in the dark. on the peninsula, people are frustrated because of storm damage they have been dealing with for months. one woman says a roadway has been damaged since january and she says the lack of communication between residents and the county makes the situation works -- worse. >> we have had power lines down. reggie: thousands of people remain without electricity as they wait for crews to restore their power. >> we are looking for the biggest outages and how we can get the most customers back as

quickly as popular -- possible. eyave replaced almosts december 500,000 power poles in a 50 miles of mile -- and up -- -- walk of wire --of wire. kumasi: you can see the damage there. two large trees fell. this is part of a larger issue and at least 900 trees and branches came cap -- crashing down from san francisco and the number we got from the city's work department. pg&e says it has removed or 13,000 trees across the service area and that has damage -- damage the utilities -- utility's infrastructure. several people have died from falling trees.

san francisco police sergeant is in the hospital after a tree came crashing down on his police vehicle. our reporter is in san francisco with more. >> an example of the storm damage behind me and there are several similar large tree stumps lining brotherhood way. one of these trees in the lake merced hill area came down on his -- a sergeant. it injured him and sent him to a hospital. he is a 16 year veteran police officer. the sergeant had to be rescued by firefighters and remains in serious condition. examples of the storm afterma it is very easy to see tree stumps along here near s.f. state. at least two people were killed by falling trees by polk and

we have so many older dogs fantastic big dogs and a number of huskies, which is unusual for california. some people -- i attri the game of thrones affect. when it was popular, people wanted both puppies and husky's are fantastic and intelligent and we tend to see them back at the shelter at one year of age. they are not full grown and not trained. we have fantastic siberian husky's. we had eight go to a rescue minnesota. we have been getting videos of them playing in the snow and doing what huskies are designed to do. reggie: if

angeles and people were watching in amazement as a tornado touched down in the east neighborhood of mondello. laurier lodge eaters -- gloria rodríguez is joining us. gloria: a tornado in los angeles. the national weather service has rated a storm -- the storm an ef1. >> turning into a tornado. did you see it pick up the stuff off the floor? gloria: to put this ef1 perspective, this gala goes from zero to five and five is the most intense and the winds are anywhere from 86 to 110 miles per hour. it injured at least one person. a local high school student was going to the ground opening the door to the tornado. >> the door bust open because of the wind and she holds on and falls over.
