high winds and rain back. in san leandro, people are dealing with this, a large eucalyptus tree landing on several cars right here an apartment building. >> as you can see, it is covered completely, smashed. ryan: her car is covered in yellow tape. she said she just park there. >> i just got out of the car longer than five minutes. five minutes, i hear, like, boom, like an earthquake, like, what is that? ryan: she now faces insurance claims. she needs her car fixed as soon as possible. >> i have to get my sunday school, i've got to feed myself, pay bills t-- my son to i got to feed myself, pay bills. ryan: storms yet again causing problems for east bay residents. good news, goldstein texted me

moments ago saying oakland fire is at his street and they are firmly working to remove the tree that is blocked. they hope to have that removed by the end of the day. lebanese bay, ryan curry, live in the east bay, ryan curry, abc 7 news. dan: thanks a lot. in the north bay, abc 7 news news anchor is live with conditions there. li-- anchor with conditions there. liz: hi, dan. we had a landslide near highway 101 that exposed apd and a gas line. erosion is still a concern here, but it is not just our infrastructure taking a toll because of this storm. businesses in the north bay tell us it has also impacted the bottom line. rain, rain, and you guessed more rain for the fourth tuesday in a row, all morning and afternoon, heavy showers poured down around the north bay.

in sonoma county, gusty winds toppled this power pole, and in glendale, several trees fell down, clipping this home and knocking out power to parts of the neighborhood. >> this is the road leading. down to the winery. liz: off highway 121 in sonoma, this road flooded yet again. tasting room manager hayden says the only way to get through it is in his large truck. >> you have to drive through that every time? >> every time. liz: the constant hole is taking a toll on business and a time that is already tough. it burned down due to fire, and be brought -- the winery has been forced to close 25 days over the past two months. >> we are now outdoors, so the constant rain and wind storm has been a challenge,. to say the least. . this is our one club, bar. liz: hayden says they are hoping to open thursday, but with more rain on the way, he's not so sure. >> cities are drying out.

the road has kinda become a big issue that we are constantly working on. liz: another big issue here in marin county, where crews continue to monitor the landslide off of highway 101 in nevada. >> technical injury years -- in novato. >> technical engineers are on-site. liz: a partial closure of highway 101 over the weekend. >> the ground is still saturated. with the forecast, we want to keep an eye on it. we are prepared to respond to that, if that is in the happen. liz: back here live in novato, redwood boulevard remains closed, and it will be closed for the foreseeable future. pg&e has installed a temporary bypass to allow customers to flow to customers in marin county, even if there is erosion on the hillside.

that does remain a concern with more rain on the way. a spokesperson with the county tells us they have people working 24/7, even through the rainstorm, to monitor the situation. they are confident that if that happens, they have it under control. live in novato, liz kreutz, abc 7 news. ama: thank you. to the south, santa cruz county has been the hammered by our recent storms, and today was no different, with the rain and intense winds hitting the region. abc 7 news zach fuentes joins us live with more. zach? zach: when we compare thanks to earlier this year, today's storm was pretty mild in comparison to those, but the rain and winds were intense at times. it was painful to stay outside in some areas of santa cruz county, but that did not stop a lot of people from coming outdoors. santa cruz county has been one of the areas hit over and over again by storms since the start of year.

. impacted not just to the -- the areas impacted not just limited to the coastal areas. >> my mom has evacuated. zach: even roadways giving out, and at some of those areas, partial road closures are still in effect. and others, like this portion of main street that washed out weeks ago, temporary fixes are the only thanksgiving the residents access to the rest of the community. all of these new impacts or out into an already overwhelmed to do list of repairs they are trying to make. >> we are still recovering from 2017, so we have got roads that have not been fixed from that storm. zach: despite all of the headaches, many have tried hard not to let this one getting away. the way of their everyday routines. >> enjoy the rain instead of the normal dry weather. zach: the big storm getting here just as forests like this made their way to california for a little r&r. >> you are from utah. is that the weather you were expecting in california? >> maybe this year, yeah.

zach: this family from utah says the storm has done nothing to ruin lee county . > reputation as a destination. i've always loved big waves and stormy beach weather. zach: still, it has come with inconveniences, like this man, who is in the process of remodeling his home. >> exterior work, can't do anything when it is raining. zach: people impacted through the worst of the storms or know someone who was, many trying to keep the spirit of possibility -- positively. >> no trees fallen on my cars. i know a lot of people have come at that aside, but at least reservoirs are filling up. zach: yeah, so the reservoirs are filling up. people are still dealing with the impact of the previous storms from february and this month. santa cruz county is working together more permission from is residents, so they can request more aid from the state and federal government.

lyanne melendez is live. lyanne: the city activated the emergency activation center, which coordinates how the city response to emergencies, and they also reminded people to use 311 for nonemergency situations. this was all normal. what was strange and unusual was the department building inspection sending emails to customers here in san francisco before the storm regarding window safety. those all steel and glass structures have defined the city 's skyline, but in recent weeks, with the strong windstorms, walking past them has become somewhat unsettling. the fear of glass falling is called mellow phobia. >> we need to be more careful of the high-rise power. lyanne: today a window on the 30th floor cracked, prompting the closure of mission street between maine and fremont for a few hours. >> we were able to confront no

sandhya patel has been tracking it. sandhya: i want to show you what many of you have been waiting for, blue skies from our exploratorium camera. it does not look like that everywhere, that is for sure. let's check out what it looks like on live doppler 7 we have rain followed across part of these bay and south bay and some of it switching over to snow over the santa cruz mountains. right now, across the summit, it is tough to get around as it is wet, and you know how that gets. highway 101 heading into monterey road, we have moderate rain and snow over mount hamilton along with some showers over brentwood, street-level radar showing it is light in the east bay. multiple reports of storms, but this storm has been nothing in comparison to the other storm that came through here last tuesday, as you guys know. 26 reports, most of those were wind-related damage. there has been some flooding. here is a live look from our

zephyr cove camera. snow is coming down. they are chanting up on all roads leading up to be mountains, and there is an avalanche warning for the backcountry. sierra nevada, which someone had laid :00 p.m. tomorrow, heavy snow, one foot to three feet, snow levels 4000 feet, lowering to about point 500 feet between tonight and tomorrow morning. you notice how much colder this today compared to yesterday. a big change. from our san jose camera, we are seeing clouds overhead. scattered showers and it understands not just tonight going into tomorrow. drying out thursday and friday, and a weaker system is coming in this weekend. on our exclusive abc 7 news storm impact scale, tonight and tomorrow, it is a level 1. showers with brief isolated thunderstorms could produce some hail and gusty winds. we've already seen some of that happen and snow over the higher peaks. i was we go -- as we

hour-by-hour, gusty in spots, 11:00 p.m., 24 mile per hour winds not out of the question, if you close to 30 mile an hour winds at 11:00 a.m. tomorrow, of a low-pressure system approaches the coastline. mount hamilton at 6:00, scattered showers at 8:00 p.m. tonight. tomorrow morning's commute will include some brief downpours between 5:00 and 7:00 a.m., maybe even some thunderstorms showing up. you will notice at 9:00 a.m., the activity increases. this storm may need to eight 2 briefly tomorrow morning and then scattered showers tomorrow afternoon everything. as you look at the rainfall projections, additional rain, we are talking anywhere from 1/3 of one inch to over one a drain. just so you get a good idea -- one inch of rain. just so you get a good idea, 3/4 a sll counting.n francisco 30's, 40's on those temperatures, breezy tomorrow

morning, you the rain gear and . . tomorrow afternoon, scattered showers and snow showers over the higher peaks. a look at the accuweather 7-day forecast, it does feature mixed precipitation tomorrow with a level 1. isolated thunderstorms. we are going with a drier pattern for thursday, friday, milder weather. spotty showers with a level 1 on saturday. still a chance on sunday, and then we have another opportunity for rain on tuesday. that one looks like a 1. it was definitely dicey getting around driving through traffic, not just this morning but this afternoon as well. so at least that is behind us, ama and dan, we can breathe a little bit. the mountain. yards. dan: wow it was puppy overload. in the montana snow. gremlin and griffin experienced snow for the first time. they were having fun. weather conditions have extended the winter season in this area, which gave these adorable puppies time to enjoy the white fluff. ama: they love it. students from across the country, including 14 from the bay area, are pushing for climate resolutions. dan: the resolutions call for teaching climate change in schools and to help them deal with mental health challenges brought on by climate change. 16-year-old lily helped author the resolution as a member of students for climate action. lily: it is a central for our voices to be heard and to be
