we know that this indictment stems from trump's alleged hush money payment to adult film start stormy daniels. we answers. >> we know he's been indicted by a state grand jury. this is not a federal case. this is a new york state case. it is not a federal tax case. it's not a federal false statements case, it's not federal anything else it's under some kind of law that has to deal with the accuracy and truthfulness in business record and under state law. we will see it, i assume in the next couple of hours and certainly by tomorrow morning. and then we will need to see how the president reacts, will he voluntarily appear in new york, will he resist? i don't think he will be taken away in handcuffs. ama: he will --he will have to

jose's police union association has been charged with a scheme to distribute drugs including fentanyl. the allegations go back, according to authorities, years. >> shocked. sad and. and as the days have gone by, i am now in a place where i'm angry. >> at the president of the san jose police officers association says he first got a call from federal authorities last friday but joanne marian segovia was charged with attempting to import illegal drugs from overseas, it was part of a scheme to distribute in the u.s., according to authorities. segovia had been with the union for 30 years. >> a woman who was helped, organize when officers families have been six. >> she agreed to distribute them

elsewhere in the u.s.. the police officers association says they have no knowledge of it and are conducting an internal investigation. they did not make decisions for the investigation and do not know what her exact intentions were for the drugs. according to this criminal complaint, they were led to segovia through an investigation that led to a network. investigators found that between october 20 15, and january 20 23, segovia had approximately 61 shipments mailed to her home coming from countries all over the world. some have labels like a wedding party favors. investigators intercepted those ship months --shipments, and found pills. >> it's just a reminder of how accessible this is, and we, from a law-enforcement and community perspective need to be much more aggressive and assertive with how we deal with interrupting that chain. >> we reached out to segovia and

have not heard back. she denied any illegal activity in initial investigators and then tried to blame her housekeeper. she faces 20 years in prison. abc 7 news. dan: a bay ended in one arrest. a sheriff's deputy tried to pull over someone they say was driving a stolen car. the chase went through the peninsula, and the driver was taken into custody. he was taken away and then the ambulance and authorities are not saying why. a man died of multiple gunshot wounds after crunching his card. th wasthe shooting did not happn the freeway but elsewhere in oakland. parts of 580 were shut down just before 5:00 this morning. you can see the results of the traffic backup.

there are no details about the victim or possible suspect tonight. ama: residence and venet told to immediately cut water use, following a landslide that collapsed the city's water line. a hillside collapsed on six 80 yesterday. crews cannot get to the line to repair it because it's buried under 10 feet of mud. there is a critical water emergency alert. residents are asked to be patient while the city works to repair the pipe. >> do your part to conserve water, take short showers. do laundry less frequent. these are the things you can do to help the community out. >> the city has been pumping in water from lake harmon as a secondary source. phoenicia's main water line typically sends out four point 9,000,000 gallons of water a day. >> anyone headed over highway 17 in the santa cruz mountains can expect delete -- expect delays. dustin dorsey will show you how

-- r's. dan: financial literacy to make smart decisions with their money. ama: what schools are doing to make it required at all schools. >> berkley height is one of the only schools teaching seniors to navigate the financial work --the financial world. this is a class in which they must sign up. >> we see passionate educators make the first step and start an elective's --an elective course. >> crystal ridley has been teaching it for the past four years, but it is not a mandated course. while 18 states require students to take a personal finance class, california does not. in fact, only 20 7% of high schools in the state offer it as

and another six hundred thousand with uber eats. ama: the son was time deciding what to do today. or was it the clouds? dan: there were a lot of today. >> we expected a mixture of sun and clouds today, but at least it was dry. but i want to show you the update on the drought monitor. this takes you back to last october, the start of the water. --the water gear. you can see -- water year. you can see the entire state was in a drought. look what happens, as of today after a productive winter, all of california, sacramento valley saw the biggest improvement out of the drought. were not as bad a category, most are still in the drought category between dry and severe.

36% of the state was in a drought, now it's down to 20 8%. we are drought free. that dry category and the far northern part of the viewing area is gone. we are finally seeing the impacts from all of the atmospheric rivers and all of the storms that impacted us. san jose, one hundred 26% above, oakland 123 where you --above where you should be. and 120 six for santa rosa. take a look at the sierra snowpacks. it has been the second on record, at the central sierra snow lab since record keeping began. here is a live view, absolutely beautiful. if you want to get up to the mountains you are good to go to tahoe the next few days. there is a chance of snow on sunday. right now all of the wet weather that we experienced is in southern california and we are dealing with stormy conditions

locally. we have left over clouds, and temperatures are on the cooler than average side. low 50's to low 60's. a live view from our santa cruz camera, so nice to see blue sky there. chile inland overnight, partly cloudy and mild or tomorrow afternoon and we are looking at a chance of sprinkles or a few showers this weekend, not a game changer. tomorrow morning, fog and clouds, as we head toward the afternoon, brighter skies, and then a weak front comes in, a few sprinkles in the north bay. that's about it. on sunday a better opportunity for seeing showers and our viewing fog, chill in the air. mid-30's to mid 40's, tomorrow afternoon you are looking at mid-50's to mid 60's. as you check out what's ahead for sunday, a system comes in, sunday night, it could bring in a few showers, a better opportunity on tuesday if you buy the gfs model. the european model is a little

bit different. as you notice, sunday night the far north art of the viewing area has opportunity for sprinkles and this one's keeping the rain away on tuesday. accuweather 7-day forecast, chilly mornings, drive for tomorrow. and a slight chance of a few sprinkles between saturday and sunday. we will go with level 1 for tuesday with just an opportunity for some wet weather.

our live news case, on google tv, fire tv and root cool -- and roku, dan: today a flatbed truck drove a car to its new spot at the museum. it's last one used at the ocean short railroad would choose to run between san francisco and santa cruz and help establish the towns along the coastline. it is the card that was first purchased by the railroad in 19 09. it will eventually be open to the public. it's a great piece of history. ama: we have much more news
