courthouse in lower manhattan with more on this morning. good morning. brianna. good morning, the former president expected to arrive here in new york city later today ahead of his arraignment tomorrow, but his legal team is watching a major development in another case. this morning as donald trump prepares for his arraignment in new york. the justice department has reportedly pushing ahead with an obstruction of justice case against the former president related to his handling of classified documents at mar lago, according to the washington post, prosecutors have collected evidence that trump ignored requests from multiple advisors to return the documents to the archives, and trump asked advisers and lawyers to release false statements claiming he had returned all documents. the report comes ahead of trump's arraignment. in a separate case in new york tomorrow, trump will head to the courthouse from its fifth avenue apartment, his movements coordinated by the secret service and the nypd. we're told trump will not be handcuffed and to reduce foot traffic in the area. other courtrooms will be

closed. i've done a million arrangements in that courthouse with with celebrities and whatnot, but this is a whole different thing. the charges are unknown until the indictment is unsealed, but sources say trump faces about two dozen charges, including felonies. a grand jury voted to indict him after the district attorney investigated held trump accounted for hush money paid to porn actress stormy daniels weeks before the 2016 election. trump denies any wrongdoing, and his legal team denies a report that claimed they want the case moved to more conservative staten island. he's someone who's going to be ready for this fight. we're ready for this fight, and i look forward to moving this thing along as quickly as possible to exonerate him, trump is turning his focus to the judge in the case judge one merchant also oversaw last year's tax fraud case against the trump organization. the former president claims merchant hates him and railroaded the company's chief financial officer into pleading guilty. meanwhile bill barr, who served as trump's attorney general, calls the stormy daniels case politically motivated and says
