the flooding damage from these winter storms is already apparent in some of california's agricultural powerhouse areas the white house is approving a presidential -- a disaster declaration to free up federal funding for places like monterey and santa cruz county. we are following the new round of letting fears and what it might mean for northern and central california. reporter: after historic snowpack levels, how runoff comes is a reason for concern. >> the real challenge as we move into spring and summer is significant flooding. the department is focused on the entire central valley, including the sacramento valley. reporter: fresno and tulare counties have been impacted by flooding after this year's storms. the department of water resources is currently there are two locations expected to reach flood stage within the next five days.

both are within san joaquin valley. >> way to go. is it going to be a warm and drw in monterey county, the flooding from the snowmelt is not as much of a concern. >> fortunately for us, we do not rely on the snowpack for water here. reporter: monterey county agricultural commissioner juan he doll go -- juan said the storm decimated approximately three acres. they are still surveying damage costs, but primary estimates are up to $400 million. >> we should not be necessarily worried about whether there might be a shortage of commodities. we are not at that point. it is too early to say.

ama: the bay area's community is morning tonight after the sudden death of a legendary drag performer. dan: heklina had been performing in europe after a legendary career in separate -- san francisco. tim johns spoke with some of heklina's closest friends after the news and shares the legacy the star will leave behind. >> i am completely devastated. this is such a shock to me and to the community. tim: feelings of disbelief at away says nightclub in san

francisco, where dozens gathered on monday afternoon to mourn the loss of heklina, a legendary bay area drag performer. >> thank you for being a friend. tim: the local star was well-known for things like the golden girls live show, promoted on abc seven in november. >> it started in the front parlor of the western edition 17 years ago, and it has grown. now everybody comes out. tim: heklina's careers in san francisco spans decades and has long been one of the faces of the san francisco drag scene. the artist is credited with helping to revolutionize drag shows not just here in the bay area but also around the world. >> heklina brought a style of drag in the 90's that was not seen here.
