tougher gun laws in response last week's school shooting in nashville. >> if the house decides to expel me, for exercising our first amended right to help elevate the voices in our community, you're going to see his act to prevent gun violence, then they can do as they feel they must but i and we must always stand up for what we believe to be right and just. jobina: students gathered at the capitol yesterday after school walkout carrying signs and reading the names of the six people killed in the school shooting. police have released new details about last week's attack saying the shooter planned it for months and fired 152 rounds. in response, governor bill lee proposed a plan to strengthen school safety including $140 million for armed security guards at all public schools. the governor also wants to add more mental health resources, notably absent from the governor's announcement or any calls to tighten the states

access to guns. the governor and republican-controlled legislature have moved to loosen gun laws in recent years. reggie: northern california's wine country community is stepping up in the wake of the national shooting. a fundraiser was organized after one of the victims, a nine-year-old, is the niece of a couple who owns wineries in hillsboro. so no most popular valley bar is donating money from their wine sales. >> we are just a blip on the map of support and rallying together of friends and families and people who have been affected by this ongoing crisis. i think it is about us standing together as a community and being part of something just to be bigger and just to make noise. reggie: 100% of the proceeds from now through next week will go to a fundraiser set up through every town for gun safety.

the santa clara county board of supervisors is pushing to make the overdose versing drug narcan more widely available, including at public libraries. lena howland is in the newsroom with a look at the initiative. lena: this push to add narcan to more public places across and eclair county comes at a time when the county has just experienced a first of its kind overdose death in a 36-year-old man which health officials have been putting out repeating warnings out. public health leaders say the corner found fennel -- fentanyl and animal tranquilizer known as trying -- trank. it's now being added to drugs on the street like fentanyl and heroin and something that affects the nervous system which can slow down your breathing and heart rate. health care leaders say it is a dangerous trend growing across the country and locally. the overdose drug narcan has been recently provided to
