death after this massive column of ice crashes to the ground, her split second decision that saved another climbers life. the new list of the nation's busiest airports in a surprise at the top of the rankings for travelers looking for ways to avoid delays and later, sweet revenge cake decorator at costco getting the last laugh. news in new york. this is america this morning. good thursday morning, everyone i'm andrew denberg. happy thursday. i'm really in an alley. we want to begin this morning with the massive storm system on the move right now, after yet another tornado outbreak. the radar shows a line of severe weather stretching from the deep south all the way to western new york . at least six deaths have been reported in just the last 24 hours. this morning, the severe weather marching across the country turning more deadly. the mayor of louisville, kentucky, says at least one person died after a tornado hit the area.

scientists say the us is seeing a shift in tornado activity. a recent study found the frequency of tornadoes in the area known as tornado alley from texas to nebraska has decreased in recent decades, while the number of tornadoes has increased in the southeast from louisiana to alabama. the study suggests the shift east is due to changes in atmospheric patterns and climate. meanwhile parts of the upper plains and midwest have been dealing with heavy snow. it's so cold in minnesota twins home opener had to be postponed breaking overnight. idaho's governor has signed a law that makes it illegal for adults to help pregnant minors. get abortion care out of state without parental consent. it is the first state to create a new crime called abortion trafficking conviction carries a sentence of 2 to 5 years in prison. opponents including the a c l u, are vowing to challenge the law and court washington in a major development in the january 6th investigation. former vice president mike pence says he will not appeal an order forcing him to testify in the

washington, d. c by u s park. police police say the 17 year old was sleeping behind the wheel of a parked car before the chaos erupted. and we want to warn you. this video is disturbing. the body camera video shows two unidentified park police officers approaching a car they say was stolen car was running and they say 17 year old delanoe martin was asleep behind the wheel. the other officers nearby. our local police warned the federal officers about going into that car takes somebody just don't get caught inside of that car park officers enter martin wakes up, a struggle ensues and the team drives off. show me one officer falls into the street, but the other is in the back seat as the teen speeds away, then the fatal shots. stop stop shoot! the officer fired six times. the teen's mother is demanding the officer be arrested time and time again, i
