just department has launched an investigation to who leaked them and how as the bio administration looks to contain the fallout. senior white house correspondent mary bruce is at the white house with the latest good morning, mary. good morning, georgia. the pentagon is now scrambling to get to the bottom of this is we are learning more about this highly sensitive material posted online , the bind administration now trying to determine the impact on national security and figure out who is responsible. this morning, the justice department is launching a criminal investigation into how dozens of classified u. s intelligence documents most marked top secret were leaked and posted on the internet. photos of the documents discovered online, most of which we cannot show revealed the us spying not just on its adversaries, but also its partners like israel and south korea, even ukraine. they include detailed information on iran's nuclear program, china and north korea and the fight for ukraine potentially makes this disclosure serious. it's not only the content of the
7:04 am
documents, but what they may tell our enemies about how we collect intelligence. some of the photos were posted online in early march. abc news has not verified their authenticity. one big concern that partners like ukraine may now think twice before sharing secret information with the us, our allies do not trust us to safeguard their secrets or intelligence that they provide us, david maybe more hesitant to provide us intelligence in the future. the documents are already prompting allies to respond. israel's prime minister benjamin netanyahu, pushing back after one document suggested leaders of israel's spy agency had encouraged protests against his proposed judicial reforms. but the most pressing concern the impact on the fight for ukraine. some documents appear to reveal the u. s. is concerned that ukraine's air defense could collapse if not reinforced soon , potentially giving russia a major opening. these documents paint a detailed snapshot of the ukrainian battlefield on march

one, including troop movements, training schedules and casualty numbers, though the information in at least one document appears to have been altered, we're told the number of russian fatalities was significantly reduced from a previously post did version. some of the photos also include visible creases appearing in the pages had been folded. the pentagon is now trying to contain the fallout of all of this top officials over the weekend, reaching out to allies and partners trying to reassure them. this is we are now seeing an international blame game going on. ukraine is pointing a finger at russia, accusing them of trying to sow doubt and discord, while russia is pointing a finger at the us, george merry bruce, thanks very much just bringing our military and intelligence analyst steven maynard stephen this appears to be one of the most significant breaches we've ever seen. it is significant george. there's a lot of early on in this material . there's a lot of talk about the battlefield. what's going on the battlefield not too concerned there. that's six weeks old, although it is interesting that the intelligence assessments are less rosy than what the white
7:06 am
house has been putting out. what's most damaging is that some of these documents apparently point to the source of the intelligence within intelligence. you have classification level so you have confidential you have secret. you have top secret, but above top secret. there's a thing called s c. i sensitive compartmented information and what goes on there shows the source of the intelligence, so apparently there's some code words here that point to where the analysis came from. this means that it makes it much easier for the russians to go back and do the counterintelligence work. if there's something that says the u. s discovered something because they intercepted communications, then the russians know exactly how to shut down that source of intelligence. and this is not a hack. see, this is these are documents that apparently were smuggled out of some secure facility folded up in the and photographed. does that mean it will be easier to catch the person who did it. i don't think so, george, because the way it came out online through the various channels, so he came out through minecraft gaming channel discussion group came out through a filipino youtube

fandom channel, so it'll be very difficult to go back and look at it. but to me, this looks like an average briefing book that you would find around the joint chiefs of staff around the chairman's office. it's something that somebody would come in and read in the morning. this is the daily intel update. so i think that the justice department will probably be looking because of the clear markings that say that it came from the joint chief of staff. the first place they're going to be looking will be the pentagon inside job. well in the sense that somebody walked out the door, which is very distressing , as mary notes, folded up this very sensitive intelligence and took it home. one of the pictures actually shows a hunting magazine in the back, so they probably just had it out on their coffee table. wild steve daniel. thanks very much. robin. authorities will get to the bottom of it very soon, george. now we have the latest on the abortion pill standoff questions over whether the pill will soon be available following contradictory rulings by two federal judges. our senior congressional correspondent rachel scott, is here now with more good morning, rachel. good morning. more than half of

abortions in the country are done by pill. this is something that was approved by the fda more than 20 years ago. but now you have one court, saying it should be allowed. you have another court, saying it should be not in future access is hanging. in in limbo. this morning, conflicting federal ruling, sparking new uncertainty and confusion over access to the most widely used abortion medication. abortion rights advocates taking to the streets after conservative federal judge in texas ruled to suspend fda approval kristen medication that has been available for more than 20 years and is using more than half of abortions in the u. s. how is it that one person one judge with no medical degree, no science degree can make a decision about a drug that has been used. it has been safe. and proven effective. but within hours, a federal judge in washington state ruled to keep the pill available. the justice department now appealing the case as the biden administration promises of fight. this is not

america. what you saw by that one judge in that one court in that one state that's not america and now heads the conservative fifth circuit court of appeals set to decide this week to preston should stay available or be put on pause as the case makes its way through the courts. anti abortion rights advocates hope will be on off the market for good. certainly a victory was one that we've been praying for some time for now, mr preston is still available, but experts say this is the legal showdown expected to go all the way to the supreme court. and of course, it's been nearly a year since the supreme court overturned roe versus wade president biden warning the texas ruling is the next big step toward a national ban on abortion, but so far we quite frankly have heard little from republicans on this democrats. of course, use abortion rights helped mobilize their voters in the midterm election. robin we do remember that, rachel, you talked about how widely used as abortion medication is now, if you live in a state where abortion is legal, does the texas abortion pill ruling have an impact? robinson let's break

this down. 40% of abortion clinics only offer abortion pills, and it's used again and more than half of abortions in the country. so the implications here are significant and it would dramatically change the landscape, and this was put on hold by a federal judge. it would affect everyone nationwide , even in the 36 states, where the pill is currently legally available. robin in those states where abortion is legal, what are officials doing to prepare? rachel look, it's very possible that democratic governors and abortion clinics spend this next week trying to buy the abortion drugs in bulk, so the fda approval is suspended. they would already have that stock in hand. we've seen this happen in washington state where the democratic governor, they're just purchased a three year supply, but the higher courts do let this ruling stand. we will see that supply go away. and then of course, there won't be a chance to buy anymore, robin. alright rachel. good to have you in the studio here with us, rebecca. alright robin. we turn now to tennessee, where the battle over to lawmakers ousted from the republican led state assembly enters a new phase.

point that business could not be conducted both men ousted after violating decorum and ignoring warnings from republican leadership expelled from the house of representatives using bullhorns after their mics were turned off to protest and call for gun reform on the house floor in the wake of a nashville elementary school shooting that left six dead. it's a historical abuse of power and the super majority republican legislature who would rather expel our voices and try to expel our people's voices from the people's house rather than address the issue of gun violence. june's telling you by the explosion has ignited his passion to serve and speak up for those that elected him. people who don't have anyone to do their constituent affairs anymore. we definitely have unfinished business, and if reinstated, jones and pearson would serve until there's a special election, and they could run for their seats again, rebecca and that meeting is supposed to be later today. i'll write alix perez. we know you'll stay on it. thanks so much,

deaths occurring within months of jj and thailand's disappearance. chad's ex wife tammy's death originally ruled natural before investigators alleged laurean, chad killed her in order to collect her life insurance money in the summer of 2019. laurie value is now deceased. other alex cox killed her previous husband, charles valois, in what was originally ruled self defense. the couple has maintained their innocence, pleading not guilty to the charges. if convicted, could face life in prison without parole. after the death penalty was taken off the table, they would hope that it would be a guilty verdict on both cases, not just lorries, but the other case. chad day bell, also charged in the murder of the two children will have a separate trial. that trial date has not yet been set. george okay, mola. thanks very much between our chief legal analyst dan abrams. this is tough case for the prosecution. look there's a lot of circumstantial evidence here, right if you look at the totality of the circumstances, it looks terrible for them, right? they don't report their kids missing. they don't seem to
7:35 am
know where their kids are. they won't produce their kids, etcetera. and then, of course, they find the two bodies near chadds home. so all of that looks terrible. but for the prosecution, they're still going to have to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that she murdered them. and that doesn't mean she has to have actually committed the murder herself, but that she was involved in the planning that she was involved in the preparation, etcetera, and that's going to be the challenges getting over from just looks really bad, too committed murder. so what's the defense's team's strategy here? so i think it's gonna be a couple of things. first of all, they're going to focus on reasonable doubt. i don't expect that she would testify in connection. this case, they already seem to be suggesting an alibi defense that she wasn't there at the time, the murderers likely occurred, although that doesn't explain how she could have planned or been involved in a conspiracy to commit murder, and it sounds like she may point the finger at her brother, who becomes a critical player in this now, whether she points the
7:36 am
finger at him suggests he might have done it. he's died now and he was involved in the death of another one of their spouses. and so it is possible that the defense will will suggest at the least it could have been him. if not, it was him. but he's going to become a central figure in the case likely is it that chad day bo makes a deal to testify against his wife? you know, i thought about this. i think it's unlikely first of all, prosecutors would have to offer a deal to him right. they would have to believe that he was less culpable than she was and as a result that it was worth making a deal with him to come forward and testify against her. so far , no indications that that's going to happen. but in these kinds of cases you never know. and you'll be watching danny bruce. thanks so much. we appreciate it. okay we turn now to the urgent search for a missing minnesota mother of two last seen dropping off her kids at daycare a week and a half ago . nearly 2000 volunteers turning out over the weekend to help look for clues. even pilgrim is

7:44 am
shaping the business world in the coming years. and how should entrepreneurs prepare for these changes? robert well, i every great business has started. robin was in a bad time, and we talked about this on shark tank . when times are bad. you've gotta narrow your focus. biggest mistake people make when they started business is they want to do everything? you can't do it all the tougher the times the narrower the focus, and i think that's really the key in this kind of an economy and getting money and funding is going to be harder. so you've got to look for alternate ways to get funded. maybe your mom your dad , your friends, the local bank. that kind of thing you gotta get creative in these kind of times really creative and more along those lines about building a business. people want to know what advice you have, especially if you got to start up. business. people love the idea of starting a business. there's a romantic notion. oh, i'm going
7:45 am
to go start a business. i always tell people don't start a business solve a problem. find a solution and then start a business. the world doesn't care about your romantic ideas about starting a business the world cares about solving problems. that's the biggest mistake i've never thought about like that, like that product or service that can solve a problem. whenever we're on shark tank, right, somebody comes out and the five of us say oh, i've never thought of that. that's a great business, and i love it when you all do that and start really jostling with one another . okay nicole. one more question here, she asked when you're living paycheck to paycheck. robert, how can you pay down debt? faster oh, my gosh, robin , we've all the sharks have live paycheck to paycheck, including me. i remember times where i couldn't pay my rent didn't have enough money for food. when things are really bad again, you've got an area of focus and the best advice i ever got was pay yourself. yeah money,

of give yourself a little bit of a break. um really resonated with that physical therapist logan lynch decided she wouldn't take any patients on mondays. i have been trying to put into place boundaries around my work and knowing that it's okay to take a little extra rest time mother of one and entrepreneur juliana walker says the bare minimum monday strategy has helped her be more intentional with her time. i started getting migraines on mondays and i was overworking myself and burning myself up into the ground, so that's when i started scheduling doctor's appointments, haircuts. getting my nails done. i think what i'm seeing, at least is a trend that started with quiet quitting. and now we've got bare minimum mondays and a big push towards a four day work week clearly is an indication that people are burnt out and trying to find ways to reenergize themselves while doing the thing that they have to do earn a paycheck, according to a gallup poll 68% of gen z and younger

millennials reported feeling stressed overall more than their older counterparts, while 54% it reported. they also were not as engaged at work, then their senior coworkers, insisting on work, life balance and insisting that mental health is important as a result of where they're at in this generation, they don't have a lot to lose by actually laying it out on the line and saying i really want to have a better experience at work. now. as for productivity, logan and juliana say that a gentler monday makes them work more efficiently the rest of the week, so they're sort of benefiting later in the week and so is their work is what they say. i guess i can see how this might work. i don't understand. advertising it. yeah, that's a good point, georgia. it's interesting because where that hashtag originated, was a woman who works for herself so this can work better when you're self employed, and you're not on a team different and you don't have a bus that you're answering

to. if the culture of your company is one where doing the bare minimum is going to benefit the team and the work and you then it's not probably the right choice. you have to think about that culture could possibly have some long term effects for your career, though. absolutely i mean everybody when you benefit at work. it's when you're seen as a team player. and there are so many team players sitting here on camera behind the camera, and that's what benefits the longevity of a career and you have to remember someone is going to be writing you a reference someday. and if you're doing the bare minimum for that person right now, they're not necessarily going to write you the happy the kind of thing that you want someone to read about you in the future, and it's also about thinking if i only want to do the bare minimum in this role. what's something else out there that i would actually feel good about spending my time doing and putting my energy towards the point of good folks there. let's go to ginger almost want to flip that, right, like feeling free fridays and then you just kind of take it easy by

. take a look. the stock market has been down for a year is now a good time to invest in public stocks. oh is it a good time? robert i think it's a great time, but i really believe in average cost. investing you can't time the top of the market . you can time the bottom of the market. i don't care who you are. so invest a little bit. but don't invest above your means. this is a tough time for a lot of people. lot of people are they're living paycheck to paycheck. so before you invest save you when you say average customer, you just mean taking a set amount each month or three months. i've tried to time the top of the market or the bottom of always lost a ton of money. so i take a little bit of money. i love some stocks, and i buy a little bit every month. i try not to watch whether it's going up or down, but over 12 months i want to be in that position. also some questions coming in about real estate, and this one is from laura on twitter who wants to know is investing in property. a smart nansha lmao move. robin i loved property. i

love homes. and do we all not know somebody, including her parents who bought a house for 200,000. it's not worth two million i love investing in property. who do you know? i'm no. come on, you know somebody bought a house 20 years ago, and now they're retiring, and they sold it for a couple of million dollars. a friend of mine was a big real estate guy said to me if you buy property and you keep it more than 10 years, you will never lose money. the problem is , if you need the money during that 10 years, you could be in trouble. so i love property. you need somewhere to live, but you have to be prepared to hold on to it. and especially in a market like the one we're heading into where we've seen home prices coming down a bit and interest rates are going up. well, that's the hard thing, rebecca because we don't know what's going to happen. it's an uncertain time in the economy right now. so don't put yourself in a position where you need

8:49 am
show us how to do it. so where do we begin? okay, so you use anything so you can pour the abroad, have some beef and you can use beef chalk be frowned any kind of beef stew. need everybody likes that. i know and then you can add onion and garlic and garlic. and then we're gonna like this, just like that goes in there and then some bay leaves, coriander seeds, cumin seeds, oregano, black pepper, and you just cook. these smells delicious. it's so full of flavor. it makes the beef really shy long are we doing this one? our and a half hour and a half. and don't put your hand on it like just because it is hot, folks. okay and then what do we have? here we have some potatoes that we browned already. you can add a little bit of salt, and then we add the meat that cooking there that is just falling apart. you can add a little bit of that bras. and then you just cook it until it becomes like a moist two week kind of a feeling, which you can use for rice for beans or for making your teammate tonga's
8:50 am
before we do. yes oh ah, before we do that, the leftover moisture that we've now cooked down with all those beautiful flavors. what can we do with that? you can use the beef broth to make any kind of soup or to cook your pasta or you're right. don't throw it out. i love it out. and then the difference between a burrito and a chimichanga is that in a chimichanga you get everything that you love about the burrito. but then it's fried in crisp, nice and crispy. okay how do we fold it? okay so you start for you put your feeling put in potatoes, but you could use refried beans, melted cheese, anything once you fold. you make a packet is very important. rebecca to make it chubby. okay make it chubby. okay got it. and then you fall like that, and then you know the origin story is that a cook in toxin was cooking for her niece is a lot of burritos and one fell by mistake in the heart. oil ban,
8:51 am
and then it was crispy and perfect. chunga screamed. chimichanga feels like a watch him and call it kind of a name. and then it became a thing. so here it is the finish it down. do you set it down this side first or this side folded open like the envelope side. first got it. and then you could deep fry it, but shallow fried makes it perfect to and then look at how crispy nice and crispy and perfect and it is something beautiful. and then you can just go to town with the garnishes because hot sauce hot sauce, so let's dress these things excellent. oh beautiful and you know i love the extra hot sauce. by the way, i love more spicy keep it spicy fresco and then a lot of salsa and then
8:52 am
yeah, and then a fork in an event forking gonna join me, of course. excellent different from a burrito. this one. you have to eat with a fork and knife. but then you end up getting your fingers in there too beautiful. and you can see so many of these foods you know, along my journey , i tasted so many incredible things. that is incredible. isn't it? incredible i'm going with my hands and then for dessert, you also brought some cookies. ohara skas. mm and these are the cinnamon cookies with the special senate with the special sugar. i'm hungry. yep. with a pill on ceo. and these cookies have all purpose flour in mma. serena two. excellent well, you can scan the qr code on screen to get these recipes at good morning america .com and you can see patty show la frontera mondays on pbs and we'll be right back. thank you so much. thank you.
