april 11. kumasi: let's check out our forecast with drew. drew: some clouds out. here is live doppler satellite. cover, starting the great -- starting the day with gray skies. reduced visibility. down to a quarter of a mile in half moon bay. we start the day with a lot of cloud cover but we finish with not only sunshine but some breezy conditions. temperatures right now in the mid to upper 50's for the most part. a live look outside from the exploratorium camera. a lot of fog out right now. we see a lot more sunshine as a lot of these clouds move out. the afternoon is bright sunshine. the wind will pick up and it will feel cooler today compared to the last couple of days. temperatures for most of us going below average by the afternoon. we will take a closer look at

these temperatures and the wind that picks up today, in about six minutes. reggie: developing news in louisville, kentucky where a bank employee open fire killing four of his employees and injuring more. police say it was live-streamed during the attack. jobina is at the live desk. jobina: officers arrived at the old national bank within three minutes of being dispatched, quickly killing the gunmen in stte -- in a shootout. after the mass shooting family and friends gathered at a vigil last night to remember the victims. government was recently given notice that he was going to be fired and that he left a note for his parents and friends, indicating he planned to shoot up the bank. witnesses say the gunmen walked into their crowded conference room and started shooting. people ran, others scrambled to

shootings that make up gun violence cases here in this country. kumasi: gun violence has also had an impact here in the bay area. this morning heartbreaking words from a family friend describing the five year goto-year-old girl shot and killed on the freeway. live in fremont what is left to be learned in this investigation. >> a family friend spoke on behalf of the friend that's on behalf of the family describing the moments before the shooting. the family was on the road searching for directions on their phone, lost, looking for a way to milpitas. they were on their way to an outback steakhouse to a family birthday party. that is when shots rang out. a five-year-old girl s killed. police placed the shooting i the fremont area of five 880. we know a short distance later in the family crossed into

milpitas, saw a chp officer on the freeway and pulled over. chp is not linking the shooting death to a shooting that happened moments earlier on fremont boulevard or to three arrests made hours later in santa cruz. spoke with a family friend. a woman who the five euro called auntie ashley. >> i just got home from seeing them. they are crushed. a little bit easier to talk, a little bit easier to make plans. of what is going to happen. but the biggest thing case doesn't matter. investigation doesn't matter. it is all about celebrating her life and remembering how amazing of a girl she was. >> actually says she was there in the aftermath saturday night

and remembering having to pick up her friend, the five-year-old's mother from the scene. among her family, we are learning alianna leaves behind her parents and her three older siblings, including her brother who is 11 months older than her. they were very close and we are told by the mother they were actually sitting side-by-side during saturday's shooting. you can only imagine how that family is feeling and how that little boy is feeling as this investigation continues. chp is asking for anyone with details about what may have happened on that stretch of 880 between fremont and milpitas to come forward. kumasi:

protesters demanding the alameda county district attorney prosecute the people responsible for the death of jasper as harshly as possible. he is a two-year-old killed in shooting on i-8 80 in oakland year ago. protesters say they are concerned after d.a. price directed hurt staff to sentencing enhancements, which can had -- which can add years to sentencing. in video last week she said her office is still reviewing charges against the suspects in jasper's case. the weight of all this gun violence can be very difficult to process so we have put together a list of vetted resources. you can visit abc7news.com to take action and for information for help. reggie: a slow ride in res to the death of a cycling champion last tuesday. a car crashed into him and presidio.

renewed calls by the san francisco bite coalition for protected bike lanes for cyclists in the city. kumasi: after more than three years, two presidential administrations and more than a million people dying nationwide, president biden has signed legislation to end the national emergency for covid-19. the white house opposed the measure but did say the president would sign it if it passed congress. the administration had planned to end the national emergency may 11. which is also when the public health emergency is set to expire. public health emergencies would allow for other -- would allow for covid 19 tests and other benefits. reggie: is the impact on our local restaurant scene. san francisco has always been a hotbed for culinary innovation and taste and this friday could stop spring restaurant week. despite the excitement many bay restaurants say they are still

this proposal because it would keep the moratorium in place until september to give renters enough time to prepare. landlords want it to end now. the proposal also contains protection for renters. including changes to just cause eviction. a vote on this proposal is expected in the coming weeks. this morning crews are expected to continue work to clear the massive wood street encampment in west oakland between 18th and 20th streets. heavy equipment moved into the area yesterday, weeks after a federal judge lifted a restraining order, putting the eviction of on housed on hold. the land is being cleared for a new affordable housing unit. city officials say their goal is to transition the unhallowed people to city shelters over the coming weeks. >> we have lived under constant stress, constant duress. we have been under siege for years just because we are here and we are an inconvenience.

news reporter is live. >> places saturday nights deadly shooting in the fremont area of 880. they initially reported that it happened in milpitas. we know that after the family was shot at, they drove a short distance into no p does where they found a chp officer parked on the shoulder and pulled over. minutes earlier on fruit -- not linked to the shooting that happened in his earlier on fremont boulevard or a shooting that led to three arrest in santa cruz. family friend ashley spoke on behalf of the family. she wasn't there during the shooting but says moments before the family was searching for directions, lost, on their way to dinner. the five-year-old was shot and

some democratic governors are now building up a stockpile of the drug in case it is taken off the market friday. washington state has already purchased a three year supply. kumasi: we are digging into what it means here in california if this ruling is upheld. governor newsom announced the state has secured emergency stockpile of 2 million pills. the state says while california still believes it is central to the preferred regimen for medical medication abortion, stockpiling the drug will ensure california remains a safe haven for safe, affordable and accessible reproductive care. >> medication abortion will remain available in california. even if it is the abortion medication pillow. it is not ideal but it still works. kumasi: according to activists that we spoke with, if the

ruling is upheld, the drug could no longer be available in any state. they say it is important people no access to abortion would still be legal in california. reggie: president trump expected back in new york this week. children a financial fraud that lasted more than a decade. the lawsuit seeks $250 million and a band of trump operating a business in new york. that is set to go to trial in october. trump's legal team is appealing a judge's order for former vice president mike pence to testify in the investigation into january 6's direction. trump has privilege around his conversations with stop the testimony. pence could be called in front of a grand jury as early as this week. kumasi: for people here in
