the pacific northwest. low clouds and fog. patchy and clearing in the inland valleys. it is cool and gray at mount tam. 50 in oakland and san jose. sutro covered in clouds. it will be a cool day. sonny for downtown san francisco. 52 in concord. there is walnut creek. with brightening conditions, warmington near 60. upper 60's to near 70 in the warmest locations. breezy and cool. a cooler sunday ahead. >> now to the latest in the killing of bob lee. we are learning more about the case and the timeline from the district attorney's office. here's how the charging document lays out the final 12 hours of his life, including the connection to the suspect. monday, around 3:

and another man described as a witness, a sister, and another woman were drinking at the other woman's apartment on mission street. lee and the witness left and went to his hotel along the embarcadero. that is when the witness heard lee speaking with -- on the phone about the suspect's sister. about 12:30 in the morning tuesday, april 4, lee is on surveillance cameras entering the millennium tower. cameras captured the suspects arrival hours earlier. they left together around 2:00 a.m. 30 minutes later, police responded to 365 main street where they found lee with stab wounds. he was stabbed three times, one stab wound penetrated his heart. that is the timeline. despite the details, there are so many questions about the case. tim johns has been going through the court documents obtained friday. >> after the arraignment of the

murder suspect was pushed back until later this month, san francisco's district attorney appearing before the media friday afternoon. earlier in the day, court documents revealing new details about the events that allegedly happened during the final hours of bob lee's life. the documents revealing he knew both the suspect and his sister. prosecutors have remained tightlipped about the nature of lee and her relationship. >> there was some type of dispute between the two men, he was upset with mr. lee. >> jenkins speaking about her offices belief that he should remain in jail for the duration of the trial. >> at this point in time, we are looking at first-degree murder. this is a person who was in his vehicle with a kitchen knife, not something most of us carry around. >> a charge his attorney doesn't agree with. >> the charges are very serious, he's been charged with murder. i don't think guilty of murder.

>> his legal counsel spoke to abc7 news from france. >> there was no premeditation, deliberation, no malice. if there is byfinis t the murdd headlines across the world and put a spotlight on the perceived level of crime in san francisco. city leaders have pushed back on that narrative and point to the fact the city has one of the lowest homicide rates in the nation. jenkins reiterating that stance and promising her office is committed to justice for all victims of crime in the city. >> this is not indicative of the state of affairs in san francisco. it doesn't mean we don't have a lot of work to do from a public safety standpoint. >> he's scheduled to be in court next on april 25. three people in police custody in connection with the shooting last week that killed a five-year-old girl. investigators believe the shooting of the girl is believed to be gang related.

shortly before the shooting, another person was shot at by three people in fremont. nobody was hit, but the suspects are gang members. the honda believed to be connected, pulled alongside the suv of the family. the alameda county d.a. said the spot their car was a car from a rival gang. police are looking for any potential victims after an elementary school teacher was arrested for assaulting students. he was a second-grade elementary school which is now closed. from 2016 2019. there are three suspected victims who have been interviewed by police. the investigation is ongoing. he's accused of committing lewd acts against those children. the police chief urged parents to visit the darkness to light

website for tips on how to discuss the subject. a santa clara city councilmember facing perjury charges for allegedly lying to a civil grand jury. anthony becker falsely denied leaking a grand jury report about an alleged unethical relationship between several council members, including himself and the 49ers. he's accused of leaking the report to a local media outlet. the 49ers issued a statement saying they "have cooperated fully with the district attorney's office and their investigation and will continue to do so." in oakland, members of the african-american community holding a press conference to address recent issues, including questions about the new district attorney and the firing of the police chief. the chief will be there as long -- as well as pastors, leaders, and families. what they call noncommunication from the new oakland mayor and district attorney price.

they will kick off at 10:00 this morning. people in monterey county are still picking up the pieces after the severe weather that brought floodwaters sweeping into their homes and on their fields. the fields have left families struggling to survive since there is no work for them. lauren martinez spoke to some about how they are getting by. >> more than 1000 farmworkers and their families stood in line in downtown watsonville for food and other resources friday. >> the line never went down, it started down the block. >> the nonprofit center for farmworker families said the monthly resource event lasted for five hours. for some, farm work ends in november and begins around march. after much of rain and flooding, work has not even started. this woman who did not want to give her name said since she has not worked since 2022, she came to this distribution event to ask for diapers and clothing for

her baby. she has not received a call from a boss to return the fields and has no luck finding work elsewhere. >> it is not people don't want to work just like you and they can't do it because there is no work. >> the executive director says she has not seen a solution that will carry this community into the future. >> what would we do without these people? all of us are dependent for their food. it is no way to treat human beings. >> for the past three years, the organization held food and distribution event at this private driveway. things got so big and the need so large it will not have to change locations. >> i don't know without federal and state intervention. i'm scared for people. they are down to their last hundred dollars. >> and watsonville, lauren martinez. >> president biden declared a
